SHEET DISCHARGE APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet discharge apparatus includes a discharge unit configured to discharge a sheet in a discharge direction, a stacking surface configured to stack the sheet discharged by the discharge unit, and a wall including a plurality of hole portions and an abutting part, wherein the plurality of hole portions includes a first hole portion disposed across an extension line along the stacking surface when viewed in a width direction, the first hole portion including a first edge portion and a second edge portion, the first edge portion being positioned on a side of the stacking surface, and wherein, in the vertical direction, an upper end of the first edge portion of the first hole portion is positioned above the extension line, and a lower end of the first edge portion of the first hole portion is positioned below the extension line.
Sheet processing device incuding a stacked-sheet-count limiting unit configured to limit the number of sheets holdable in the sheet tray and image forming system
A sheet processing device is for binding sheets together. The sheet processing device includes binding units differing from each other in maximum sheet count, the maximum sheet count being a maximum number of sheets that can be bound at a time; a sheet tray configured to hold sheets until all to-be-bound sheets are placed therein, the number of the to-be-bound sheets being a largest one of the maximum sheet counts of the binding units or smaller; and a stacked-sheet-count limiting unit situated in a thickness direction of the sheets held in the sheet tray. The stacked-sheet-count limiting unit is configured to limit the number of sheets held in the sheet tray by varying a distance from a sheet support surface of the sheet tray on which the sheets are placed, depending on one of the binding units by which the sheets held in the sheet tray are to be bound.

SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet processing includes a first conveyance path, a buffering portion, a second conveyance path, a conveyance roller pair, a supporting portion, a moving member, a regulating portion, and a processing unit. The buffering portion is configured to superimpose a first sheet and a second sheet on each other in a state of being offset from each other in a sheet conveyance direction. An offset amount, by which a leading end of the first sheet in the sheet conveyance direction projects downstream in the sheet conveyance direction with respect to a leading end of the second sheet in the sheet conveyance direction in a state before the first sheet and the second sheet are discharged onto the supporting portion, is larger than a distance from a sheet contact position of the moving member to the regulating portion in the sheet conveyance direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a stopper member supported either in a storage posture stored in a storage part by turning in an upstream side or a restriction posture to prevent falling down of a sheet from a sheet stacking face by turning in a downstream side. The storage part has a first recess and a second recess deeper than the first recess. The stopper member has a pressed part supported in the second recess movably upward and downward and a main part supported in the first recess in the storage posture. When the pressed part is pressed downward in the storage posture, the pressed part is moved downward and the main part comes into contact with a downstream side edge of the first recess, the stopper member is turned around the downstream side edge into the restriction posture through a protrusion posture protruding above the sheet stacking face.
SHEET POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS
According to an embodiment, a sheet post-processing apparatus according to the embodiment includes a paddle member and a controller. The paddle member rotates around a rotating shaft, presses a plurality of sheets held on a processing tray against a stopper and aligns ends of the sheets in a sheet transport direction. After the ends of the sheets in the sheet transport direction are aligned, the controller further rotates the paddle member, and stops rotation of the paddle member in a state that the paddle member comes in contact with the sheets held on the processing tray.
Method and apparatus for holding down a sheet on a feed table of a sheet-processing machine
A method and an apparatus for holding down a sheet on a feed table of a sheet-processing machine include a lowerable smoothing bar which can be driven according to a speed profile in time with the sheet-processing machine, which results in a targeted deflection of the smoothing bar. The deflection is preserved for the purpose of smoothing the sheet from the middle to the side.
Sheet conveying apparatus
A sheet conveying apparatus includes: a conveyor configured to convey a sheet along a conveyance path; a discharge tray configured to support the sheet discharged from the conveyance path; a sheet presser movable toward and away from a support surface of the discharge tray and configured to press the sheet being discharged, onto the support surface; a first stopper configured to limit a spaced distance between the sheet presser and the support surface to a first distance when the first stopper is located at a first position, and configured to allow the spaced distance to become greater than the first distance when the first stopper is located at a second position; and a position change mechanism configured to change a position of the first stopper between the first position and the second position.

Sheet processing apparatus
According to an embodiment, a sheet processing apparatus includes a first tray, a second tray, a first member, and a second member. The first member presses a first portion of a sheet toward the second tray when the sheet is moved from the first tray to the second tray located below the first tray. The second member is interlocked with the first member, and when the sheet is moved from the first tray to the second tray, presses a second portion of the sheet toward the second tray, the second portion being located downstream of the first portion in a transport direction of the sheet to the first tray.
