LIQUID JET APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR DENTAL TREATMENTS
Systems and methods for using a liquid jet apparatus for dental treatments are disclosed. In one implementation, the liquid jet apparatus may include a handpiece configured to deliver a high velocity liquid jet to a desired location in the mouth of a patient. The handpiece may include a positioning member having a channel through or along which the jet can propagate. The positioning member may have a distal end portion configured to be at least partially disposed in a pulp cavity, canal space, or opening in the tooth under treatment. During operation, the jet may impact an impingement surface of the distal end portion of the positioning member and be deflected as a spray through one or more openings in the distal end portion. The liquid jet apparatus may be used for root canal treatments.
METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR CLEANING OF A CANAL
The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for the cleaning of a circumferentially closed canal by means of a light guide conducting a laser beam. The entry of the laser beam into the light guide is interrupted when the free end of the light guide is outside of the canal and/or the movement of the light guide within the canal is monitored and that if there is no movement or the movement is below a threshold value then a signal is triggered and/or the laser radiation is turned off or its output is reduced.
Bone Expander
A bone expander contains: a body including a limitation section formed on an upper end of the body, a drill tip formed on a lower end of the body and extending from a bottom of the limitation section, a defining shoulder formed in an expanding umbrella shape and between the bottom of the limitation section and the drill tip, and multiple spiral ribs formed on the drill tip and the limitation section. The drill tip has multiple chip delivery grooves, and a respective chip delivery groove is defined between the drill tip and a respective spiral rib. The limitation section has multiple guide flutes corresponding to the drill tip and extending from the multiple chip delivery grooves, the drill tip has a cutting portion extending from a distal end thereof, and the cutting portion has a conical face formed thereon.
BRUSHHEAD FOR POWER TOOTHBRUSH
The present disclosure provides a brushhead for an power toothbrush detachably attached to a handle of the power toothbrush, the handle including a vibrating drive shaft, the brushhead comprising: a main body defining a receiving cavity which is configured to receive at least a portion of the vibrating driving shaft, the main body including a cavity wall substantially surrounding the receiving cavity and an end connected to the handle, with an opening which is defined in the end of the main body in air communication with the receiving cavity, so that the vibrating driving shaft is capable of being inserted into the receiving cavity through the opening; and an engaging assembly mounted in a side wall of the main body, the engaging assembly comprising an elastic member, which is made by metal material; wherein, a recess is defined in the outer surface of the side wall, the elastic member is deformably received in the recess, the elastic member is elastically deformed by force provided from the vibrating drive shaft when the brushhead is attached to the handle of the power toothbrush.
Cleaning appliance
A dental cleaning appliance includes a handle, a fluid reservoir for storing a working fluid, and a fluid delivery system for receiving working fluid from the fluid reservoir, and for delivering the working fluid to the teeth of a user. The fluid reservoir is delimited by a wall and a movable member which is moveable relative to the wall to vary the volume of the fluid reservoir. An expansion chamber is located adjacent to the moveable member. The volume of the fluid reservoir decreases, and the volume of the expansion chamber increases, as fluid is supplied to the fluid delivery system during use of the appliance.
Dental prophylaxis device and air appliance
A dental prophylaxis and air appliance having a pressurized air source, a hand piece, and a manually actuated slurry container containing a mixture of dry or wetted abrasive and non-abrasive components. The compressed air is delivered to the hand piece by a line that combines the compressed air with the components and discharges the post-mixed water slurry of abrasive or non-abrasive components. The hand piece is configured to include a series of valves adapted to define one or more stages for containing components and encourage mixing thereof during operation.
NEW DENTAL BRUSH
A brush (200) for cleaning a periodontal pocket between a tooth and a gum of a user. The brush (200) comprises: a handle portion (205); an arm extending (210) from the handle portion; and a brush head (211) located at an end of the arm having a plurality of brush filaments (212) extending therefrom. The brush filaments (212) are configured to be inserted into a periodontal pocket. The brush (200) can be used to assist in the treatment of gum disease by enabling a user to precisely clean periodontal pockets. The brush (200) may be for self-use. Alternatively, the brush (200) may be used by a healthcare professional such as a dentist or hygienist to treat a patient or to demonstrate its use.
Dental system
A medical or dental system with at least one first transmitting and/or receiving unit and at least one second transmitting and/or receiving unit, wherein the at least two transmitting and/or receiving units are designed for the capacitive coupling of electric signals into and/or out of a human body, so that an electric path which extends through the human body of the user and/or of the person to be treated can be established for the transmission of electric signals between the at least one first transmitting and/or receiving unit and the at least one second transmitting and/or receiving unit, in order to transmit data between the at least two transmitting and/or receiving units.
ORAL IRRIGATOR ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure includes embodiments directed to an oral irrigator assembly. The oral irrigator assembly may include a base including a pressure assembly, a fluid reservoir removably coupled to the base, an oral irrigator handle fluidly coupled to the fluid reservoir and the pressure assembly, and a control assembly including a push button at least partially surrounded by a knob. The oral irrigator handle may be adjustably coupled to the base via a magnetic attachment. The push button may be arranged to engage a power button to turn the oral irrigator assembly on and off. The knob may be coupled to the pressure assembly to adjust at least one of a pressure and a volume of a fluid expelled through the oral irrigator handle upon movement of the knob.
