DENTAL IRRIGATION, CLEANING AND DEBRIDEMENT SYSTEM, DEVICE AND INSTRUMENT
20170258552 · 2017-09-14 ·

A device for irrigating a canal during a root canal treatment or retreatment provides a fluid reservoir in fluid communication with at least one pump for delivering an irrigant under pressure. A hand-held wand has a proximal end for receiving the irrigant under pressure, permitted to flow through the wand head by an actuator. An irrigant delivery needle which affixed to the working end of the wand delivers irrigant through at least one irrigant dispersion orifice at a selected delivery angle and pressure. Aspirating means and/or shielding may optionally be provided.

In accordance with one form of the present invention, there is provided a formulation including 10 to 30% by weight of ethanol; 5 to 15% by weight of glycerol; 10 to 20% by weight of xylitol; 0.5 to 5% by weight of a nonionic surfactant and emulsifying agent; 0.15 to 0.5% by weight of a plurality of flavoring agents; and 51 to 77.5% by weight of water.

ORAL IRRIGATOR WITH BACK FLOW PREVENTION
20220039927 · 2022-02-10 ·

An oral irrigator with back flow prevention is described. The oral irrigator may include a reservoir, a base, a handle, and a one-way or unidirectional valve. The base may support the reservoir and include a pump fluidly connected to the reservoir. The handle may be positioned external the base and in fluid communication with the pump via a hose. The valve may be positioned external the base to inhibit or seal fluid from flowing from a downstream side of the valve toward the pump.

ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH WITH CONTROLLED SUCTION AND IRRIGATION

A toothbrush for use by an operator and capable of being connected to a suction device and a syringe. The toothbrush includes a head, a handle, and a suction assembly. The head includes a plurality of bristles and an irrigation port configured to be in fluid communication with the syringe. The handle is coupled to the head and includes a user interface and a controller configured to actuate at least one of rotation, oscillation, and vibration of the plurality of bristles in response to feedback from the operator through the user interface. The suction assembly is coupled to one of the head and the handle and configured to be coupled to the suction device. The suction assembly includes a suction tip that is moveable relative to the head.

Device for controlling a surgical handpiece

A control device for controlling a surgical handpiece is suitable for controlling the surgical handpiece according to control parameters. The control device comprises local control means present on the control device, wireless communication means suitable for communicating with remote control means by a wireless communication link. The local control means and the wireless communication means is suitable for receiving instructions to adjust each control parameter. Selector means is provided for selecting either the local control means or the wireless communication means for adjusting each control parameter.

Actuation assembly for an oral irrigator
20170252251 · 2017-09-07 ·

An actuation assembly for an oral irrigator includes a bezel secured to or formed as part of a housing of the oral irrigator, an actuator operably connected to the bezel and moveable relative thereto, and an augmentation fluid positioned between the bezel and the actuator. The augmentation fluid modifies a frictional relationship between the bezel and the actuator to provide a predefined resistance force between the actuator and the bezel as the actuator is rotated relative to the bezel.

In Situ Promotion of Cellular Structure By Selective Application of Electro-Magnetic Waves

A housing, a UVC emitting light source combined to the housing for emitting UVC light outside the housing onto the area of interest, and a controller combined to the UVC light source for controlling the intensity of the UVC light emitted onto the area of interest.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR TREATING TEETH

An apparatus for treating a tooth includes a proximal chamber and a distal chamber disposed distal the proximal chamber and in fluid communication with the proximal chamber by way of a transition opening. The distal chamber includes an access opening disposed apart from and distal to the transition opening, the access opening to provide fluid communication between a treatment region of the tooth and the distal chamber. The apparatus includes a liquid supply port disposed to direct a liquid stream into the proximal chamber and over at least a portion of the transition opening. The apparatus includes an impingement member arranged within a path of the liquid stream, the impingement member having one or more surfaces positioned to redirect at least a portion of the liquid stream across at least a portion of the transition opening.

MOUTHPIECE WITH DIRECTED JETS

A directed jet mouthpiece (10) comprises at least one mouthpiece trough (12, 14) configured to fit over a front portion of a dental arch of a user's teeth. The at least one mouthpiece trough includes a buccal-side vertical member (16), a lingual-side vertical member (18) and an occlusal-side horizontal member (20) extending in between. The at least one mouthpiece trough further includes at least one fluidics inlet (22), a plurality of jet orifices (24) on both buccal- and lingual-side vertical members, and at least one fluidics path (26) disposed between the fluidics inlet and jet orifices. A plurality of directed jet orifices (28) is disposed in end regions (30) of the at least one mouthpiece trough. The at least one fluidics path (26) is further disposed between the fluidics inlet and plurality of directed jet orifices.
