CARTON STACK DIVIDER AND METHOD FOR DIVIDING A STACK
A divider for dividing a pack of flat-folded cartons into a plurality of stacks of flat-folded cartons, the divider comprising a magazine adapted to hold the carton pack, where the magazine includes a stop member, and where the divider includes a pusher member and a holder foot, where the magazine is arranged in an inclined position, where the pusher member is adapted to compress the carton pack between the pusher member and the stop member, where the holder foot is adapted to bear on the upper side of the compressed carton pack, and where the pusher member is adapted to release the pressure on the carton pack when the holder foot bears on the upper side of the carton pack, thereby creating a low density area adjacent a first carton stack.
Media output system
A printing device includes, in one example, a media output system including a mezzanine level including a plurality of media support members, the mezzanine level being intermediate to a floor level and a media output level; wherein the plurality of media support members move orthogonally relative to a print media path so that a number of finishing processes may be performed on print media accumulated on the number of media support members.
Sheet bundle binding apparatus and image forming system including sheet bundle binding apparatus
Provided is a binding apparatus enabling easy removal of a sheet bundle, which has been subjected to binding, from clamping teeth. The binding apparatus includes: a sheet placement portion on which sheets are placed; an alignment unit configured to align the sheets placed on the sheet placement portion; a binding member configured to bind the sheets placed on the sheet placement portion by deforming the sheets without using a staple; and a separating member configured to apply a rotational force to the sheets which are bound by the binding member to separate the sheets and the binding member from each other, the alignment unit and the separating member being constructed by different members.
Transport device for stacking partial book blocks
A transport device stacks partial book blocks along a transport path formed of transfer paths, and includes: a first transfer path at a start of the transport device; a first separating element downstream of the first transfer path and upstream of a second transfer path; a second separating element downstream of the second transfer path and upstream of a processing machine that is operatively connected to the transport device; and a transition path which is arranged either upstream or downstream of the second separating element and within which a book block product that is to be introduced therein is transferable from a transport position where it is lying flat and into a transport position where it is guided standing up. At least one of the transfer paths is equipped with at least one sheet stack feed unit and/or at least one collator-feeder.
Dish stacking cart
A dish cart includes a top with a slot for receiving a lift arm that may be lifted up through the slot to raise or lower dishes. Lobe openings emanating from the slot receive lobes of a lift paddle secured to the lift arm. The cart may define a gap below the top for permitting insertion of the lift paddle and the lift arm. The cart may be adjusted to receive differently sized dishes by means of rails of different sizes or adjustable vanes. A dish drop station includes the lift arm and lift paddle and a lift mechanism for raising and lower the lift arm. The dish drop station may include a cart present sensor and include a lock for retaining the cart. The controller may be programmed to the lower the lift arm to an unlock position that disengages the cart lock.
