A post-processing device for processing a sheet includes a post-processing section for post-processing a sheet; a buffer section for temporarily staying a plurality of sheets at an upstream of the post-processing section; and a conveying section for conveying, one by one, the plurality of sheets stayed at the buffer section to the post-processing section.

According to embodiments, a sheet post-processing apparatus includes a processing tray, a vertical alignment section, a horizontal alignment section and a controller. The controller is configured to control the horizontal alignment section to shift the sheet to a first alignment position a predetermined distance from the center of the processing tray in the sheet width direction, control the horizontal alignment section to align the sheet in the sheet width direction at the first alignment position, and control the vertical alignment section to align the sheet in the conveying direction at the first alignment position, control the horizontal alignment section to realign the sheet at the first alignment position.

A dish cart includes a top with a slot for receiving a lift arm that may be lifted up through the slot to raise or lower dishes. Lobe openings emanating from the slot receive lobes of a lift paddle secured to the lift arm. The cart may define a gap below the top for permitting insertion of the lift paddle and the lift arm. The cart may be adjusted to receive differently sized dishes by means of rails of different sizes or adjustable vanes. A dish drop station includes the lift arm and lift paddle and a lift mechanism for raising and lower the lift arm. The dish drop station may include a cart present sensor and include a lock for retaining the cart. The controller may be programmed to the lower the lift arm to an unlock position that disengages the cart lock.

A post-processing apparatus includes: a processing unit configured to pull in a recording medium transported from an upstream apparatus and perform processing on the recording medium; a discharge unit to which the recording medium processed by the processing unit is discharged; and a lifting drive device configured to, in a case where a folded recording medium is pulled into the processing unit, move the discharge unit downward such that a height of the discharge unit is lower than a height of the discharge unit in a case where an unfolded recording medium is pulled into the processing unit.

A sheet discharging apparatus includes a guide member configured to guide a lower surface of a sheet, a discharge roller pair, a stacking portion, and a first moving member and a second moving member each configured to move to a first position and a second position, the first position being a position where the first moving member and the second moving member protrude downstream of the discharge roller pair in the sheet discharge direction, the second position being a position located upstream of the first position in the sheet discharge direction. Support portions of the first moving member and the second moving member in the first position protrude upward in a height direction with respect to a tangent of a lower roller of the discharge roller pair when viewed in a sheet width direction.

A sheet handling apparatus for storing sheets into a storage bag that includes an opening and a frame having a gate for opening and closing the opening, includes: a mounting unit to which the frame of the storage bag is capable of being detachably mounted; a transport unit configured to transport sheets one by one; and a storage mechanism configured to stack the sheets transported by the transport unit, in a stacking area on the frame mounted to the mounting unit, and to push the sheets stacked in the stacking area into the storage bag through the opening of the storage bag to store the sheets in the storage bag.

A sheet handling apparatus for storing sheets into a storage bag that includes an opening and a frame having a gate for opening and closing the opening, includes: a mounting unit to which the frame of the storage bag is capable of being detachably mounted; a transport unit configured to transport sheets one by one; and a storage mechanism configured to stack the sheets transported by the transport unit, in a stacking area on the frame mounted to the mounting unit, and to push the sheets stacked in the stacking area into the storage bag through the opening of the storage bag to store the sheets in the storage bag.

The invention relates to a station for receiving sheet-form elements and discharging bundles of sheet-form elements for a packaging manufacturing machine, comprising: an arrangement for feeding sheet-form elements successively one after the other (8), a lift table (16), mobile in a vertical direction, comprising several continuous conveyor belts (17) extending in a longitudinal horizontal direction, for receiving the sheet-form elements in bundle form, an output conveyor (14), for discharging the sheet-form elements in bundle form, and a separator (21), mobile in the vertical direction, comprising several reception arms (22) being deployed in the longitudinal horizontal direction, for transiently receiving the sheet-form elements in bundle form, the arms (22) being disposed so as to be able to cross in the vertical direction without interacting with the belts (17) of the table (16).

A separator (1) for temporarily receiving sheet elements (9) that are to be transferred from a stacking table (2) to an output conveyor (3) of bundles of sheet elements comprises: a support (10) mounted with the ability to slide in a vertical direction; a drive device (11) for driving the support in the vertical direction; several arms (13) extending in a longitudinal horizontal direction, spaced apart in a transverse direction, at least one arm (13) being mounted with the ability to move in the longitudinal horizontal direction with respect to the support, the movement of the arm modifying its overhanging length with respect to the support (10) on a first side in the longitudinal horizontal direction; a drive system (12) configured to simultaneously move the arm in the longitudinal horizontal direction and to keep another of the arms in its longitudinal position.

A sheet processing apparatus includes a conveyance unit configured to convey a sheet, a stacking portion on which the sheet conveyed by the conveyance unit is stacked, a first regulation member configured to regulate a position of an edge portion, in a conveyance direction, of the sheet stacked on the stacking portion, a second regulation member configured to regulate a position of an edge portion, in a width direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction, of the sheet stacked on the stacking portion, a binding unit supported movably in the conveyance direction and configured to perform a binding process of binding the sheet stacked on the stacking portion, and a moving unit configured to move the second regulation member in the conveyance direction accompanied with a movement, in the conveyance direction, of the binding unit.
