Printed unit block arrangement device and arrangement method
09771234 · 2017-09-26 · ·

A printed unit block aligning device includes a supporting element and an alignment transfer rail. The supporting element is opened and closed between a supporting position and a releasing position. The alignment transfer rail receives the group of the printed unit blocks dropped in response to move of the supporting element to the releasing position, aligns the printed unit blocks in each line unit block in a vertical direction, and feeds the printed unit blocks vertically at a constant speed using alignment transferring element. An electrical controlling element is provided that electrically controls timing of dropping the printed unit blocks from the supporting element onto the alignment transfer rail. While a speed of transfer of the horizontal feeding and transferring element are uniform for any imposition structure, the electrical controlling element controls timing of dropping the printed unit blocks in a manner that depends on the numbers of layers in each vertical line in different imposition structures.

Method and arrangement for handling narrow rolls

An arrangement in a warehouse and a method for forming narrow rolls are disclosed. The narrow rolls are formed from a jumbo reel. At least two slitting machines are used for forming the narrow rolls. The jumbo reel has an axial direction when positioned on the slitting machine. The narrow rolls are transferred to the warehouse in the axial direction. The at least two slitting machines are positioned overlapping.

A slit device including a first transport section which transports a web in a transport direction while nipping the web, a second transport section which is disposed in parallel with a direction intersecting the transport direction of the first transport section and which transports the web in the transport direction while nipping the web, and a cutting section which is disposed between the first transport section and the second transport section in a direction intersecting the transport direction and which cuts the web along the transport direction, in which a cutting position at which the web is cut by the cutting section is a position within a nipping area where the first transport section nips the web along the transport direction, or is a position downstream of the nipping area in the transport direction.

SLITTER DIRECTOR FOR AUTOMATED CONTROL OF SLIT ROLL GENERATION FROM MANUFACTURED WEB

This disclosure describes techniques for automatically controlling the operation of a slitter (40) to convert a web (20) of material into smaller slit rolls (64, 66, 68). A slitter director (60) may automatically control the operation of a slitter (40) for defect removal, web splicing, and/or slit roll rejection based on continually registering previously-generated anomaly data (62) with physical locations of the web (20).

Post-processing apparatus and image forming system

A post-processing apparatus includes: a cutter that cuts a transported sheet; a waste bin that stores a cutting waste generated by a cutting operation of the cutter and falling from the cutter; a sensor that detects the cutting waste at a predetermined position in a depth direction in the waste bin; and a hardware processor that controls the cutting operation of the cutter according to a cutting mode, sets a predetermined value according to the cutting mode when the sensor detects the cutting waste, counts the number of times of cutting by the cutter after the sensor starts to detect the cutting waste, and detects that the waste bin is full when the counted number of times of cutting reaches the predetermined value.
