SHEET BINDING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A binding unit includes first and second movable bodies. The second movable body includes first and second shaft portions. A stapler is secured to the second movable body, and the second movable body is swingably supported with the stapler by the first movable body. A first groove includes a branch part between a middle area and one end area. A second groove branches off from the branch part and is parallel to the first groove. When in a first position, a movable guide portion guides the first shaft portion from the branch part to the second groove. When the first shaft portion moves to the second groove through the branch part, the movable guide portion swings from the first position to a second position. When the second shaft portion reaches the branch part, the movable guide portion in the second position guides the second shaft portion along the first groove.

Post-processing apparatus and image forming system
A post-processing apparatus includes a loading portion, a first binder, a first mover, a second binder, a second mover, and circuitry. A plurality of sheets are placed as a sheet bundle on the loading portion. The circuitry executes a control mode in which, before the sheet bundle as a target to be bound by one binder of the first binder and the second binder is placed on the loading portion and after the one binder starts moving from a corresponding reference position of a first reference position and a second reference position, the circuitry causes the other binder of the first binder and the second binder to perform binding instead of the one binder. The circuitry executes the control mode, without returning the one binder to the corresponding reference position, in a state in which the one binder and the other binder do not contact each other.

STAPLELESS BINDER WITH ENHANCED BINDING FORCE
A post-processing device includes a paper alignment tray on which a plurality of papers is aligned and a stapleless binder including a stapleless binding portion to compress and bind the plurality of papers and a nozzle in the stapleless binding portion that supplies water vapor to the plurality of papers.

CARD PROCESSING AND ATTACHING SYSTEM
The invention is a modular card processing and attaching system configured to provide uninterrupted workflow in the feeding and subsequent attaching of cards to carriers for the formation of a mailpiece. The modular card processing and attaching system is further configured to be incorporated into a production mail inserter system, such that attached card and carrier mailpieces may be subsequently sorted and/or inserted into a mailable envelope or packages to be mailed.
POST-PROCESSING DEVICE, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING POST-PROCESSING DEVICE, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM FOR CONTROLLING POST-PROCESSING DEVICE
A post-processing unit includes a stapler, a driving section, and a controller. The stapler is moved in a Y direction and executes a stapling process on a paper sheet. The driving section moves the stapler in the Y direction. The controller controls an operation of the stapler and an operation of the driving section. The controller executes first control to supply a set current or a set voltage to the driving section, second control to supply, to the driving section, the same supply current as the set current or the same supply voltage as the set voltage, and third control to stop the supply of the supply current or the supply voltage. When the stapler executes the stapling process a plurality of times, the controller repeatedly executes the second control and the third control and causes the stapler to execute the stapling process during the execution of the second control.

Sheet post-processing apparatus
A sheet post-processing apparatus that performs post-processing on a sheet on which an image is formed includes: a punch hole forming portion; and a sheet bundle forming portion that has a conveyance portion, stops a first sheet on a conveyance path, and conveys a second sheet after the first sheet to a position overlapping the first sheet to form a sheet bundle. The sheet post-processing apparatus includes a shift portion to make a shift so that a relative position between the first sheet and the second sheet in a direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction becomes a relative position at which the second sheet does not overlap a punch hole of the first sheet to make the second sheet overlap the first sheet, and forms a sheet bundle in which sheets overlapped with each other are deviated in a width direction.
