A medium processing apparatus includes an intermediate stacker on which media recorded by a recording apparatus are stacked, the recording apparatus including a liquid ejection head which performs recording by ejecting liquid to media and a maintenance apparatus which performs maintenance of the liquid ejection head, and a processor which executes a process on the media received by the intermediate stacker. The medium processing apparatus executes the process after a medium which is last recorded before the maintenance is stacked on the intermediate stacker.

A sheet processing apparatus includes a conveying portion, a conveying path, a discharge port, a stacking portion, a manual setting portion, a binding device which binds a sheet bundle formed by the stacking portion and a sheet bundle set at the manual setting portion by a staple, a first regulating portion which regulates a position of the sheet bundle at a rear side of the apparatus in a width direction, and a second regulating portion which regulates a position of the sheet bundle in the conveying direction. The binding device is formed to be movable back and forth to a front side and the rear side of the apparatus. When a staple is replenished to the binding device, the binding device is positioned at the third position so that a cartridge of the staple is loaded into the binding device from the front side of the apparatus.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME
A sheet processing apparatus includes a conveying portion, a conveying path, a discharge port, a stacking portion, a manual setting portion, a binding device which binds a sheet bundle formed by the stacking portion and a sheet bundle set at the manual setting portion by a staple, a first regulating portion which regulates a position of the sheet bundle at a rear side of the apparatus in a width direction, and a second regulating portion which regulates a position of the sheet bundle in the conveying direction. The binding device is formed to be movable back and forth to a front side and the rear side of the apparatus. An improved method and tooling for a pouch forming machine to attach a fastener to the bag film layers. The method and fixture in one embodiment can unwind a double wide touch and close fastening material and then split the fastener into two strips using two turning bars, invert one of the strips, bring the strips together to interlock them with a nip roller, and then insert the interlocked strip between the bag film layers.
TOOLING FIXTURE
An improved method and tooling for a pouch forming machine to attach a fastener to the bag film layers. The method and fixture in one embodiment can unwind a double wide touch and close fastening material and then split the fastener into two strips using two turning bars, invert one of the strips, bring the strips together to interlock them with a nip roller, and then insert the interlocked strip between the bag film layers.
SHEET POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS
The present invention is to enable folding processing to be applied to also large sheet sizes without upsizing the entire apparatus, in the sheet post-processing apparatus for performing the folding processing and binding processing on sheets, a sheet post-processing apparatus is provided with a binding processing section for performing binding processing using a binding needle on a sheet bunch inside a storage section, first folding roller pair for nipping a sheet P inside the storage section in a first position to form a first fold portion, a receiving section for receiving the sheet with the first fold portion formed fed out of the first folding roller pair, and second folding roller pair for nipping the sheet inside the receiving section in a second position to form a second fold portion.

Apparatus for making a cardboard strip for packaging includes a store for a stack of cardboard sheets, a gripping mechanism for picking up a sheet from the stack and positioning another sheet on a first support for the application of adhesive, and a transfer mechanism for transferring the first sheet to rest on the second support with an end portion having the adhesive projecting towards the store and towards a third support. The third support is disposable in a raised position to raise an end portion of a second sheet coming from the store and in a lowered position to lower the end portion of the second sheet and position it at the end portion of the first sheet. A pressor presses the two superposed end portions of the two sheets to fix the end portions to one another to form a cardboard strip.
