Dental debris separator
The disclosure relates to a dental debris separator having a housing in the upper region of which a drainage zone for removing particle-containing liquid from an air flow which is loaded with the liquid. The housing has an inlet for the loaded air flow, leading tangentially into the drainage zone. Downstream of the drainage zone a separation zone for removing the particles from the particle-containing liquid is provided in the housing, said separation zone descending from the drainage zone to the separation zone, the drainage zone having a curved flow path that is delimited on its lower side by a crown of baffle elements.
Saliva management system with continuous flow through oral device
Systems for maintaining a vacuum in a patient's oral cavity comprises an oral device, a vacuum control system, and an assembly including first and second tubes for connecting the vacuum control system to the oral device. The oral device has an internal plenum, and a vacuum is drawn in the plenum by a vacuum pump connected by a first tube of the tubular assembly. The vacuum is maintained by an air source which is connected to the plenum by the second tube of the tubular assembly. By maintaining a constant circulating air bleed through the oral device and the connecting tubes, saliva may be removed from the system and collected in a saliva trap located before the vacuum pump.
Dental aspiration device and method of use
A dental aspiration device including an inside housing having a proximal portion and a distal portion with an interior surface; an outside housing having a proximal portion and a distal portion with an interior surface; at least one of the interior surfaces of the inside housing and the outside housing including vacuum channels; a hinge connection mechanism hingeably connecting the proximal portions of the inside housing and the outside housing; and a locking mechanism for removably attaching the distal portions of the inside housing and the outside housing to each other.
Patient controlled dental device and method
A device for helping maintain a mouth of a patient in an open position during a dental procedure may include a tooth engaging portion including at least one groove for accepting at least one lower tooth of the patient's lower jaw, an extension portion that extends away from the tooth engaging portion, and a handle that extends down from the extension portion and ends in a caudal end. The caudal end of the handle and the groove of the tooth engaging portion lie along a longitudinal axis drawn through a center of the groove.
Tongue Cleaner
The present invention wants to provide an improved tongue cleanser showing an improved cleaning effect. For this, a tongue cleanser is suggested having an essentially disc-shaped body, which is provided on its use-side front surface with a profiling suitable for superficially scraping impurity adherent to the human tongue and which forms a hose connection, which communicates with the profiling.
SYSTEM FOR SALIVA COLLECTION
Disclosed herein are portable handheld devices for saliva collection for daily monitoring of salivary biomarkers of physiological conditions, the device comprising: a handheld handle comprising a saliva collector, the saliva collector comprising: a suction tip; a bi-directional pump electrically configurable for pumping towards two opposite directions; a saliva reservoir; a valve; a water reservoir, the water reservoir comprising an external filling lid; a reversible fluidic connection configurable in a connected and disconnected position; and a base accommodating the handheld handle, the base configurable to fluidly communicate with the handheld handle through at least the reversible fluidic connection, wherein the valve is electrically configured to allow fluid communication directly between at least two selected from: the saliva reservoir, the water reservoir, and the reversible fluidic connection, and wherein the bi-directional pump is electrically configurable to allow fluid communication directly between the suction tip and the saliva reservoir.
Mobile Dental Intelligence Center
The Mobile Dental Intelligence Center (MobiDIC) will roll up alongside the patient's Bedside or Chairside where Oral Hygiene can be performed by the patient's Caregiver, with no need to have a sink or basin in the area. Using the MobiDIC the Caregiver will be able to brush the patient's teeth, rinse and suction the patient's mouth at the Bedside or Chairside; also the Caregiver will monitor the patients Vital Signs. The unit's unique cylindrical design makes it easy for the Caregiver to wipe clean and disinfect the unit. The air, water, suction and power supply hoses are internal to the unit reducing cord entanglement and trip hazards. The MobiDIC allows the Caregiver the ability to easily connect various medical monitoring devices including Intra and Extra Oral Cameras capturing images of the patient's mouth inside and the patient's general appearance. All MobiDIC innovations will facilitate assessing the patient's current general health.
Dental suction tubing
A dental suction tube having a plurality of apertures in a distal portion of the tube is provided. The apertures are provided in a pattern to allow suction performance even when a portion of the distal end of the tube is abutting a portion of the mouth or other item during a dental procedure.
Intraoral device and method of use
An intraoral device includes a flexible body having an upper front flap including evacuation holes and a upper edge; an upper rear flap forming an upper pocket with the upper front flap and including internal channels and a upper edge separated from the upper edge of the upper front flap to form an upper pocket opening, the internal channels terminating in grooves along the upper edge; a lower front flap including evacuation holes and a lower edge; a lower rear flap forming a lower pocket with the lower front flap and including internal channels and a lower edge separated from the lower edge of the lower front flap to form an lower pocket opening, the internal channels terminating in grooves along the lower edge.
Apparatus and Method for Removing Amalgam and Waste Particles From Dental Office Suction Effluent
An apparatus and method for removing amalgam and waste particles from dental office suction effluent. The apparatus includes an upper chamber and a solids collection canister removably secured thereto. Dental office suction effluent drawn through a dental suction wand enters the upper chamber along a lateral flow path above a substantially cylindrical internal wall portion. A gas component of dental office suction effluent changes direction by more than 60 before it exits the upper chamber through an exit port. A riser conveys a liquid and solids component of dental office suction effluent through a drain into the solids collection canister. A flow restrictor allows liquids and gases to exit the solids collection canister interior volume but prohibits solids from exiting the solids collection canister interior volume.
