SHEET DISCHARGING APPARATUS, SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet discharging apparatus includes a stacking portion, a first conveyance portion, a detection portion, a second conveyance portion, a third conveyance portion, and a control portion. The control portion is configured to execute a discharge operation by causing the sheet discharging apparatus to reverse a conveyance direction of a first sheet conveyed from the first conveyance portion to the second conveyance portion and deliver the first sheet to the third conveyance portion by using the second conveyance portion, convey the first sheet toward the second conveyance portion by the third conveyance portion, and discharge the first sheet and the second sheet to the stacking portion by using the second conveyance portion in a state where the first sheet and the second sheet are superimposed on each other.
Paper stacking apparatus, control method, and recording medium
A paper stacking apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a stacking table, a first sensor, and a hardware processor. The stacking table includes an upper face on which papers are stacked, the stacking table being capable of being elevated and lowered by a drive mechanism. The first sensor is disposed at a first position and configured to detect the upper face of the stacking table or an upper face of stacked objects stacked on the stacking table. The hardware processor is coupled to the drive mechanism and the first sensor. The hardware processor is configured to determine that the stacking table is excessively elevated when an elapsed time after starting to detect the object by the first sensor is at least a first excessive-elevation determination value of time.
Inkjet printer with transport belt deformation compensation
An inkjet printer and a method for controlling an inkjet printer are disclosed. The inkjet printer is provided with an endless transport belt for transporting a medium to be printed; at least one roller for driving the transport belt and at least one additional roller for driving and/or suspending the transport belt; a detection system configured to detect a deformation of the transport belt including at least an in-plane bending deformation of at least a stretch of the transport belt and to generate at least one deformation signal indicating the detected deformation; an actuator assembly configured to change a position and/or orientation of at least one of the rollers of the inkjet printer; and a controller configured to control the actuator assembly based on the at least one deformation signal.

Paper sheet storage apparatus and paper sheet handling apparatus
A paper sheet storage apparatus (1) includes: a placement mount (10) on which bills (B), i.e., an example of paper sheets, are placed; a leading-edge position restriction guide (20) that restricts the position of the leading edge portion of a bill (B) in an entering direction (D) in which the bill (B) advances when being transported onto the placement mount (10); and a sensor (30) that detects the presence/absence of an accumulation space (S) for bills (B) that is located above the placement mount (10). The sensor (30) detects the presence/absence of an accumulation space (S) by using detection light (L) emitted to a space between a first position (P1) that is located on an opposite side of the leading-edge position restriction guide (20) from the bills (B) on the placement mount (10) and a second position (P2) below the first position (P1) that is located on an opposite side of the bills (B) on the placement mount (10) from the leading-edge position restriction guide (20).
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a fixing device, a discharge roller pair, a detection portion, and a discharge control unit. The discharge roller pair discharges a sheet on which a toner image has been fixed in the fixing device to a discharge tray via a discharge port. The detection portion detects a rear end of the sheet being conveyed from the fixing device toward the discharge port. The discharge control unit performs control so that, within a prescribed period from a point in time of detection of the rear end of the sheet by the detection portion to when the rear end of the sheet passes through the discharge roller pair, a discharge speed of the sheet is reduced to a value lower than a reference speed, and after a lapse of the prescribed period, the discharge speed is increased back to the reference speed.
Medium conveying device and determination method
In a medium conveying device, a projector projects light, a projection light amount of the light changes, at every fixed time, to a first projection light amount and a second projection light amount less than the first projection light amount, a receiver receives the light projected from the projector, a processor determines, at fixed sampling timings, whether a reception light amount of the receiver is at a first reception light level or a second reception light level smaller than the first reception light level, determines, when the reception light amount alternately changes to the first reception light level and the second reception light level, that a medium is not present on a conveying path, and determines, when the reception light amount is fixed to either the first reception light level or the second reception light level, that the medium is present on the conveying path.

SHEET SORTING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet sorting apparatus includes a second tray arranged below a first tray detachable from a main body having a first discharge port corresponding to the first tray and a second discharge port corresponding to the second tray, a discharge unit, a tray detecting unit, and a control unit. The discharge unit discharges a sheet toward the first or second discharge port. In a state that the first tray is detached from the main body and the discharge unit discharges sheets from the first discharge port to the second tray and then the first tray is detected as attached to the main body, the control unit selects a discharge destination of a second sheet, subsequent to a first sheet discharged and stacked first after the first tray is attached to the main body, such that the second sheet is stacked on a tray having the first sheet thereon.
