BUCKET REEL DEVICE
A device for the coiling, storage and payout of cable, hose, cord and wire having a bucket creating a storage space defined by a round bucket bottom, a peripheral wall cylindrically extending from the round bucket bottom and terminating in a round open top and a bucket longitudinal axis passing through its geometric center. A spool having a cylindrical core, spaced apart top and bottom flanges and a spool longitudinal axis passing through its geometric center. A nub extends between and spaces the bottom flange from the bucket bottom, the bucket further having an opening in its peripheral wall, the opening having elongated sides extending longitudinally and parallel to the bucket longitudinal axis and extending the distance between the top and bottom flanges and relatively low friction contour rails positioned along the elongated sides and an extendible handle secured to the top flange.
THREAD GUIDE DEVICE FOR A WINDING APPARATUS
A thread guide device for the winding apparatus of a workstation of a textile machine producing cross-wound bobbins, wherein the winding apparatus has a bobbin drive roller for rotating a cross-wound bobbin, and also a thread traversing device for traversing a thread running onto the surface of the cross-wound bobbin. In order, when winding a cross-wound bobbin during which a thread running onto the surface of a cross-wound bobbin is traversed and a thread traversing triangle thus results, to prevent thread length changes occurring which would have a negative effect on the winding result, there is provision according to the invention that the thread guide device has a spherically formed thread slide surface.

CHECKER BALLOON WINDING MACHINE
A device for winding a filament around a structure disposed concentrically around a distal end of a balloon catheter includes a rotatable holder for retaining a distal end of the balloon catheter, a translatable winding carriage for helically winding the tensioned filament around the balloon catheter distal end, a heater for applying a predetermined amount of heat to a section of the balloon catheter having the filament wound therearound, and a controller for controlling at least the rate of rotation of the holder, the tensioning force applied to the filament, the amount of heat applied by the heater, and the rate of travel of the translatable winding carriage along the longitudinal dimension of the balloon catheter. By use of the device, the balloon is heat set and a predetermined checkering pattern of surface indentations are provided in the structure exterior surface in a single pass.

Cable Actuator Guide For Liquid Dispenser
A cable guide for improving performance and longevity of a dispenser actuator for remotely operating a dispensing unit with a flexible cable connected between a valve of the dispensing unit and the actuator. The cable opens or closes the valve by manipulating the actuator adjacent the discharge end of the tube. The guide is positioned within the actuator in physical contact with the cable. The guide may comprise a thin arched body extending upward from a leading edge to a peak and downward to a trailing edge. The cable can slide over the guide as the actuator operates the valve. The guide prevents the cable from bending with a small bend radius, e.g., smaller than five or ten or even twenty times a diameter of the cable as the actuator operates the valve.
Rope edge protector
A rope edge protector for protecting a rope as it passes over an edge during rope access and rope rescue is described. The rope edge protector has a body with a curved channel portion on an outer surface thereof that is configured to receive at least one rope along a length of the channel portion. The body has a first underside surface that is configured for placement on a first face of the edge and a second underside surface forming a dihedral angle with the first underside surface and that is configured for placement on a second face of the edge. An attachment mechanism having a strap may connect the body to a second body and may have a cam for tensioning the strap between the bodies to secure the bodies to opposing edges.

Winder Cable Guard
A winder cable guard includes a generally flat plate that is attached to an inwardly facing surface of the outer support bearing in a winder mechanism. The plate is sized and configured to fit within and seal the clearance gap between the outer end of the winder drum and the outer support bearing. This prevents a cable being wound onto the winder drum from slipping or falling into the gap. The potential for jamming and/or breakage of the lift cable is thereby reduced.
