SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A FLEXIBLE PIPE CONTAINMENT SLED
A flexible pipe containment sled includes a platform and a first sled portion coupled to a bottom surface of the platform. The first sled portion is disposed at a first side of the platform. The sled also includes a second sled portion coupled to the bottom surface of the platform. The second sled portion is disposed at a second side of the platform opposite to the first side of the platform. The sled also includes a passage formed between the first and second sled portions. The passage is configured to allow a flexible pipe to pass through the passage while the flexible pipe containment sled is placed on a surface.
LINE HANDLING SYSTEM
Systems for guiding line(s) including blocks through which the line(s) run. The blocks can include inner and outer guides with line running through both the inner and outer guides. The guides may include rollers, and an inner guide may be at least partially nested within an outer guide. The systems may be configured so that at least one of the blocks can move when the line moves and so that the first block and second block create tension in the line.
Apparatus and method for reducing whip damage on wound optical fiber
An apparatus for reducing fiber whip damage to optical fiber wound on a fiber winding spool is provided. The apparatus includes a fiber entry feed mechanism operatively coupled to the fiber winding spool to feed the optical fiber onto the fiber winding spool. The apparatus also includes a whip shield arranged to substantially surround the fiber winding spool. The whip shield includes a first surface aligned with and facing the fiber winding spool within an entry slot that is laterally offset from a second surface. The first surface transitions to the second surface such that a loose end of the optical fiber is initially directed into the entry slot away from the fiber winding spool and transitions to the second surface.

YARN FEEDER
A portable yarn feeder that is attachable to an object and provides a secure and constricted environment in which yarn can be fed freely without the yarn tangling or becoming damaged. The feeder includes a housing that has an exterior sidewall with a first opening formed therein and interior walls that are contiguous to each other and an inner surface of the exterior wall and include a second opening formed therein that is offset from the first opening.
MULTI-CORE CABLE CORE ALIGNMENT DEVICE AND MULTI-CORE CABLE CORE ALIGNMENT METHOD
A multi-core cable core aligning device is composed of a temporary holding mechanism, which is configured to arrange tips of a plurality of cores exposed at one end of a multi-core cable in a row along a predetermined arranging direction, and temporarily hold each one of the plurality of cores in such a manner as to be movable along the predetermined arranging direction, a transferring mechanism, which is configured to transfer the plurality of cores one by one while separating the plurality of cores held by the temporary holding mechanism one by one from other ones of the plurality of cores, and an aligning mechanism, which is configured to align and hold the plurality of cores with a predetermined space between adjacent ones of the plurality of cores while holding the plurality of cores transferred by the transferring mechanism one by one at spaced intervals.

Safety guard for textile machines
A textile machine includes a protective exterior cover, a slotted yarn access formed in the protective cover, and a safety guard shielding at least a portion of the slotted yarn access. The safety guard includes a guard body mounted to the protective cover proximate the slotted yarn access. The guard body has a fastener edge residing adjacent a first side of the slotted yarn access, and a free edge residing adjacent a second side of the slotted yarn access. The free edge of the guard body extends above and across the slotted yarn access and forms an unobstructed space on the second side of the slotted yarn access allowing yarn to pass around the free edge, underneath the safety guard and through the protective cover.
