Stabilized fiber bundle and method of manufacturing carbon fiber bundle
A method manufactures a flame-retardant fiber bundle by flame retarding treatment of a polyacrylonitrile-based precursor fiber at 200-300° C. in an oxidizing atmosphere, wherein a fiber bundle is caused to travel so as to sequentially pass between an nth roller and an (n+1)th roller (n being an integer of at least 1 and no more than [m−1]) in a roller group formed from m (m being an integer of 3 or greater) contiguously set rollers, the roller axes of the m continuously set rollers being parallel to each other and perpendicular to the direction of travel of the fiber bundle, the roller diameter being 5-30 mm, and the specific gravity of the fiber bundle being 1.20-1.50.
WINDING DEVICE AND WINDING METHOD
This winding device includes: a bobbin for winding an optical fiber, the bobbin being a striated body; a cover that covers the outer periphery of the bobbin, the cover having provided thereto a slit that is parallel to the axial direction of the bobbin, and the optical fiber being inserted through the slit; and a roller for directly guiding the optical fiber to the bobbin. In accordance with the bobbin winding barrel diameter of the optical fiber on the bobbin, the bobbin and the roller are caused to move relatively, or the position of the slit in the cover is caused to move in the circumferential direction.

SERIES ENABLED MULTI-MATERIAL EXTRUSION TECHNOLOGY
A method and apparatus are provided for producing a multicomponent feedstock being delivered through a print head of a 3D printer. Multiple component lengths are produced from separate feedstocks and are aligned to form the multicomponent feedstock which is fed into the print head for extrusion. The method includes providing at least two sources of feedstock of different material, feeding a distal end of a first feedstock along a feed path, cutting the first feedstock at a pre-determined length to provide a length of first feedstock having a proximal end. The method includes feeding a distal end of a second feedstock along the feed path and aligning the distal end of the second feedstock with the proximal end of the length of the first feedstock. The second feedstock is cut at a pre-determined length to provide a length of the second feedstock serially aligned with the length of first feedstock, to form a length of multicomponent feedstock. The length of multicomponent feedstock is fed into the print head.

Inkjet loom weaving machine
A system for treatment of thread includes a weft thread printer having an intake positioned to receive a weft thread from a source, as well as an encoder that is configured to detect a length of the weft thread as the weft thread moves through the weft thread printer along a travel path. The system also includes a printhead positioned to apply coatings of a plurality of colors to the weft thread and yield a treated weft thread, as well as an outlet positioned to pass the treated weft thread to a loom.
Yarn deflection unit
A yarn deflection unit for a textile machine, having a housing comprising a curved wall section for forming a radially outer wall section of a curved yarn deflection channel. The solution proposed by the invention is distinguished in that the curved wall section has a yarn guiding groove extending along the curvature for receiving and guiding a yarn.
