HANDPIECE MAINTENANCE SYSTEM AND DENTAL INSTRUMENTS FOR PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE
A handpiece maintenance system and method identifies a dental handpiece and operates in a diagnostic cycle to power the handpiece and determine predictive maintenance condition thereof. The handpiece maintenance system includes a temperature sensor and/or an acceleration sensor to measure the conditions of the handpiece during the diagnostic cycle. The predictive maintenance condition of the handpiece is based on data from the diagnostic cycle and other stored data for the identified handpiece. A system is also configured to determine a predictive maintenance condition of the handpiece based on sensor data read from a handpiece and historical usage data thereof.
UNIVERSAL INTERFACE FOR DENTAL DEVICES
A universal controller for controlling dental devices includes a memory having a graphical user interface generator and control software for a plurality of dental devices. The universal controller includes a transceiver, a display for displaying graphical user interfaces and for receiving inputs, and an electronic processor connected to the memory, the transceiver, and the display. The electronic processor is configured to provide a graphical user interface to the display in response to a selection received from the display. The universal controller is configured to display a plurality of dental devices to be controlled and enable selection thereof. Further, multiple devices are displayable on the universal controller, along with a patient information.
UV disinfecting system for a dental operatory
A disinfecting system including a delivery unit having a dental instrument holder, a dental instrument engagable with the dental instrument holder, a fluid supply line fluidly coupled to the dental instrument to provide fluid to the dental instrument, and a disinfecting device in fluid communication with at least one of the supply lines and the dental instrument.
Freehand Ring and Method of Use Thereof
A finger mounted device for assisting a dental procedure mainly comprises: a ring gripping a finger and a platform provided with an upstanding sidewall, two bosses and at least one recessed compartment, wherein the ring and the platform are formed in a continuous structure. Further, the device is modular as the platform can engage and disengage with different types of inserts such as a form insert and a deep well insert, wherein both inserts are removably attached atop of the platform. The form insert is disposable and replaceable and serves a cleaning surface to wipe a dental tool clean. The deep well insert enables the device to hold more volume of a dental substance.
Dry heat sanitizer and method of use
A sanitizer system and method of use is disclosed. The sanitizer system quickly sanitizes and cools targeted objects and secures the targeted sanitized objects for later use, without the need to transfer the objects to a separate container. In one embodiment, the sanitizer system comprises a cassette having a body and a removable lid that, when joined, form an airtight chamber for containing an object for sterilization. A pressure control element of the system is configured to fluidly engage with the cassette to produce a pressure-controlled environment within the airtight chamber. A heating element of the system, which is interconnected and in thermal communication with the airtight chamber, is configured to provide heat to the airtight chamber. The chamber temperature is raised to a desired temperature for a period of time sufficient to sanitize the object. A cooling element of the system is configured to cool the chamber and the object.
TREATMENT METHOD FOR A SERVICE WATER SUPPLY UNIT
Method for treating a service water supply unit of a dental treatment unit, wherein the method has the following sequence of treatment steps: cleaning the service water supply unit using a cleaning agent, preferably a cleaning liquid or a cleaning foam; disinfecting the service water supply unit using a disinfecting agent, preferably a disinfecting liquid.
Dental scanner holding apparatus and dental scanner system including the same
The present invention relates to a dental scanner holding apparatus and a dental scanner system including the same. The apparatus may include a holding unit configured to have a dental scanner held therein, a holding detection unit configured to detect whether the dental scanner has been held in the holding unit, a humidity detection unit configured to detect humidity within the holding unit, a control unit configured to generate a sterilization signal based on a result of the detection of the holding detection unit regarding whether the dental scanner has been held in the holding unit and to generate a dehumidification signal based on the humidity detected by the humidity detection unit, an ultraviolet sterilization unit configured to radiate ultraviolet rays into the holding unit in response to the sterilization signal, and a ventilation unit configured to send air into the holding unit in response to the dehumidification signal.
Orthodontic retainer cleaning case
A lidded plastic container has a plunger in the lid which pushes dental appliances down into a cleaning solution. The container includes vent holes in its lid to allow gas-evolving cleaning agents to vent without building up pressure inside the container and to drain the fluid from the container.
Automatic activation of flushing mode in dental systems
A method for automatically initiating a dental handpiece waterline flushing mode in a dental delivery system includes detecting whether at least first and second handpiece waterlines from a plurality of handpiece waterlines are removed from respective first and second rest positions of a control head for the dental delivery system. According to some implementations, if it is determined that no additional dental handpiece waterline which is flushable remains in a rest position of the control head, then the dental handpiece waterline flushing mode is automatically initiated for the first and second dental handpiece waterlines. In some implementations, a display is updated to provide information to a user, and an input from the user is received to begin flushing.
Inversion maintenance device for dental handpieces
An inversion maintenance device has a case, an inverting mechanism, and a control system. The case forms an inversion space. The inverting mechanism has an inverting base and multiple adapting modules. The inverting base is pivotally mounted in the inversion space. The adapting modules are mounted on the inverting base. Each of the adapting modules has an adapting port. The inverting base is capable of inverting to make the adapting port face downward and cover the inversion space. Dental handpieces can be mounted on the adapting modules. The control system has a control module and an operation input terminal. The operation input terminal is electrically connected to the control module and is capable of controlling the control module to inject a working fluid with pressure into the dental handpiece via the adapting module.
