Fiber unwinding system and methods of unwinding a fiber from a bobbin

Unwinding systems and methods are provided for unwinding a fiber from a bobbin. The unwinding system can include an axle defining a first axis extending an axial direction, a bobbin rotatably mounted around the axle, a pulley positioned to receive the fiber from the bobbin, wherein the pulley is rotatable around a second axis, and a sensor positioned between the bobbin and the pulley. The bobbin is moveable along the axial direction, and wherein the fiber extends tangentially from a surface of the bobbin.

METHOD FOR CALIBRATING A THREAD STORAGE UNIT

A method for calibrating a thread storage unit that can be arranged at a workstation of a textile machine. The method comprises the calibration steps of: setting of a calibration torque of the electric motor in the control system, wherein the calibration torque is lower than the maximum torque acting on the thread guide arm due to the magnetic repelling effect of the coupling elements; activation of the electric motor of the drive unit for adjusting the thread guide arm with the calibration torque to a rest position against a stop of the thread guide unit by the control system; and storage of the set position of the thread guide arm and the electric motor as the zero position of the thread guide arm and the electric motor in the control system.

WORKSTATION OF A TEXTILE MACHINE AND METHOD FOR MONITORING THE THREAD RUN OF A RUNNING THREAD AT A WORKSTATION OF A TEXTILE MACHINE

A method for monitoring the thread run at a workstation of a textile machine having a thread feeding device for supplying a thread, a traversing device for traversing the supplied thread, a thread winding device for winding the traversed thread onto a run-on bobbin, a pneumatic thread storage, a thread storage unit with a thread guide arm pivotably mounted about a pivot axis, a controllable drive unit for reversible pivoting of the thread guide arm, and a sensor unit collecting sensor information about a thread tension acting on the thread guide arm and/or a position of the thread guide arm, and transmitting the sensor information to a control system associated with the workstation. The thread storage unit is arranged at the workstation such that the control system detects a thread breakage and/or an emptied pneumatic thread storage on the basis of the transmitted sensor information.

Cable spooling apparatus
12234131 · 2025-02-25 · ·

A cable spooling apparatus for use with a storage drum for spooling and storing cable. The cable spooling apparatus comprises a tensioning unit for adjusting the tension of a cable as it is being spooled onto the storage drum. The tensioning unit traverses a path between the opposite ends of the storage drum. Methods of spooling and unspooling cable using the apparatus are also disclosed.

Yarn accumulator unit for a workstation of a textile machine

A yarn accumulator unit for a workstation with a yarn guide arm pivotally mounted about a pivot axis, and a controllable drive unit for reversing pivoting of the yarn guide arm. The yarn guide arm is to be freely rotatably mounted and to have a magnetically acting first coupling element arranged at a distance from the pivot axis, and for the drive unit to have a second magnetic coupling element arranged so as to be adjustable transversely to the first coupling element or about the pivot axis, magnetically repulsively acting on the first coupling element, which second magnetic coupling element is arranged so that it can be brought into active connection with the first coupling element on the drive unit, in which case an adjustment of the second coupling element in the direction of the first coupling element causes a displacement of the first coupling element in the same direction.

Low tension application coiler

An apparatus, system, and method for a low tension application spooler and or coiler system that positively drives the material into the coil and or reel so that the tension is minimum during the winding process.
