POLYMERIZATION APPARATUS
[Abstract] A polymerization apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a light irradiator; and a polymerization vessel. The light irradiator includes a first casing and a light source assembly. The first casing includes a light source chamber defined by cylindrical side walls, a ceiling, and a floor including a light-transmissive window member. The light source assembly includes a base having a light-emitting surface on which a plurality of light-emitting diodes is disposed in a predetermined pattern and a heat-dissipating surface to which a heat sink is joined, and the light source assembly is disposed within the light source chamber so that the light-emitting surface faces the light-transmissive window member. The polymerization vessel includes a polymerization cup and a second casing. The polymerization cup has a frustoconical or substantially frustoconical shape that opens upward and increases in diameter upward, and is capable of housing an object therein. The second casing is a bottomed cylindrical or box-shaped casing having an opening at the apex thereof, the polymerization cup being attachably/detachably housed in the second casing via the opening. In this polymerization apparatus, light that has been emitted by the plurality of light-emitting diodes of the light irradiator and has passed through the light-transmissive window member is applied to the inside of the polymerization cup of the polymerization vessel.
RADICAL POLYMERISATION INITIATORS FOR LIGHT-CURABLE DENTAL MATERIALS
The invention provides alight-curable dental material comprising a polymerizable compound having at least one ethylenically unsaturated bond and a hexaaryl bisimidazole as a photopolymerisation initiator.
Dental curing light having unibody design that acts as a heat sink
A dental curing light includes a device body that efficiently conducts heat away from the light emitting diode portion of the curing light. The device body includes a proximal gripping end and a distal head end. The device body is formed from a thermally conductive body material. Excellent heat conduction away from the LED dies is achieved using a thermally conductive layer disposed over the device body. The thermally conductive layer serves as a conduit to quickly conduct heat away from the LED dies for dissipation within the material of the device body. In this manner, the material of the device body serves as a highly efficient heat dissipater. The surface area coupling the thermally conductive layer to the device body is sufficiently large that a majority (e g, substantially all) of heat being conducted by the thermally conductive layer is transferred to the device body during operation of the device.
Light-curing device
The invention relates to a light-curing device, comprising a plurality of individual LED chips, each associated to a reflector, which LED chips are in particular each separately controllable and are arranged about a common central axis, in particular in each case at the same distance, and comprising reflection elements of the reflectors which adjoin one another, wherein the distance of the reflectors from one another is in each case substantially less, in particular less than a fifth, of the reflectors' diameter. The reflection elements (14, 16, 18, 20) are arranged like a clover leaf and are part of a common reflector body (10) which separates the reflection elements (14-20) from one another by means of dividing walls (30, 32, 34, 36), and the reflector body (10) has externally on the reflection elements (14-20) reinforcing walls (40) which—in relation to each cone (14, 16, 18, 20)—lie opposite the central axis (12).
Light curing dental system
A light curing dental system comprising a light emitting tray that precisely distributes an optimal amount of curing light energy to internal, external and extra oral portions of the dental arch to cure a dental material. The light curing dental system generally includes a light source, a light emitting dental tray, an activation module and a photocurable dental material.
DENTAL IMPRESSION MATERIAL
A photocurable dental impression material comprising: (a) a mixture of polymerizable silicone compounds each having two or more polymerizable (meth)acrylate groups, said mixture having a dynamic viscosity at 25° C. of from 1 to 100 Pas; (b) a filler; (c) a photo initiator system,
wherein the mixture of polymerizable silicone compounds comprises based on the total weight of the mixture of polymerizable silicone compounds (a) 10 to 90 percent by weight of high-molecular polymerizable silicone compounds having a molecular weight in the range of from more than 4000 up to 10.000; and (b) 90 to 10 percent by weight of polymerizable silicone compounds having a molecular weight in the range of from 300 to 4000.
DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR CREATION OF ATTACHMENTS FOR USE WITH DENTAL APPLIANCES AND CHANGEABLE SHAPED ATTACHMENTS
The present disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for the creation of attachments for use with dental appliances and changeable shaped attachments. For instance, an attachment template tray for creating and placing attachments used in moving teeth of a patient can include an attachment template tray body having a first surface shaped to conform to the contours of exterior surfaces of teeth of a patient and including a portion of the first surface that provides a cavity to form the exterior surfaces of an attachment that is to be attached to the exterior surface of one of the teeth and an integrated light source, power source, and actuation mechanism on the body of the attachment template tray, wherein the power source provides power to the light source when the actuation mechanism is actuated.
DEVICE FOR STORAGE AND APPLICATION AND METHOD
The present invention relates in particular to the storage of dental material in a device (10, 10′) and the application of the dental material (20) from such a device (10,10′), and a method for treating dental material (20). In order to provide a solution that allows the simple and practical handling of a dental material (20) in the sense of storage, application and/or treatment thereof, inter alia, a device (10, 10′) for storage and application (20) comprising a cavity (12) for storage of the dental material (20) and a wall (14) surrounding the cavity (12) is proposed, wherein the wall (14) in at least a first temperature range is impermeable to radiation of at least a first wavelength or a first wavelength range in the range of 100 nm to 500 nm, wherein the wall (14) comprises at least one area that at least in a second temperature range is permeable to radiation of at least a second wavelength or a second wavelength range in the range of 600 nm to 50,000 nm.
LIGHT CONCENTRATING ADAPTER FOR DENTAL CURING
Provided herein is an adapter for a dental curing light. The adapter can restrict or otherwise concentrate light as it is emitted from the dental curing light making the beam of light more focused to a specific portion of a tooth rather than radiating an entire tooth. The adapter can have different customizable shapes and sizes which is beneficial for adhering attachments commonly used with orthodontic aligners to a tooth.
LOUPES PROTECTION SHIELDS USEFUL IN DENTAL APPLICATIONS
Described herein are loupes shields. The shields can be easily attached to the loupes. The loupes shield is composed of a single filter that blocks harmful light. Additionally, the loupes shield includes a connector that permits the loupes shield to be attached to the loupes lens or housing that holds the loupes lens. The loupes shields described are useful in applications where it is desirable to protect the user from being exposed to damaging light. The loupes shields are useful in dental applications such as, for example, dental restorations, where light cure is required to cure the resin applied to a tooth during a dental restoration.
