The invention also relates to a light irradiating device for polymerizing and curing a dental polymerization composite resin, said light irradiating device having at least one blue LED with an emission peak at a wavelength between 430 nm and 490 nm and at least one ultraviolet or near-UV LED (2) with an emission peak between 350 nm and 420 nm, and a controller for temporally controlling the power of the at least one blue LED and for temporally controlling the power of the at least one ultraviolet or near-UV LED independently of each other, wherein the controller is designed, in particular programmed, to carry out such a method.
Method of attaching a dental article to the surface of the tooth
A method of attaching a dental article to the surface of a tooth includes providing the dental article and applying a coating including upconversion phosphors to a surface of the dental article. The method also includes applying a dental cement composition to the surface of the tooth and placing the dental article on the surface of the tooth such that the coating is adjacent the dental cement composition. The dental cement composition includes a polymerizable resin and a photoinitiator and is substantially free of upconversion phosphors. The method further includes irradiating the coating with a radiation source that emits radiation at a pre-determined fixed wavelength that causes the upconversion phosphors to emit radiation at an activation wavelength of the dental cement composition photoinitiator such that the dental cement composition cures in a region adjacent the coating and removing remaining uncured dental cement composition outside the dental article from the tooth.
A DENTAL LIGHT IRRADIATION DEVICE
A dental light irradiation device (1) which has a light emitting diode/LED (15) and a heat sink (16) for dissipating heat generated by the LED. The heat sink (16) is formed of a composition which includes a polymer and a filler. The filler provides the composition with increased thermal conductivity relative to the polymer alone. The invention helps maximizing the convenience in handling of dental light devices.

MOLDS FOR CUSTOM DENTAL IMPLANT ABUTMENTS AND IMPRESSION POSTS
Molds for fabrication of custom and potentially modifiable abutments and impression posts for dental implants with various degrees of angulations (including zero degrees) and various dimensions are provided, with a generally oval shape that expands laterally upwards, a symmetrical or asymmetrical cross-section, and regular surfaces, that are fabricated as one piece, or as two coupling pieces snapping onto each other. Custom abutments achieve the development of a custom gingival emergence profile, three dimensionally, which is potentially modifiable according to the needs of each particular clinical case. Custom impression posts that correspond in dimensions and angulations to the abutments allow the accurate recording and transfer of the developed gingival emergence profile from the mouth onto the working cast, where the final implant prosthesis is fabricated. Custom abutments and impression posts have properties and design that allows their preparation and usage as temporary abutments for the cementation and support of temporary prostheses.
