Yarn feed assembly to relieve yarn hang ups having a variable yarn pull-off angle and method of using same
A yarn feed assembly for directing yarn from a wound yarn source to a yarn feed tube having a frame member positioned adjacent to the wound yarn source and defining at least one elongate interior chamber. The yarn feed assembly has a weighted member slideably received in the elongate interior chamber such that, upon pulling one yarn off of the wound yarn source, through a bore of the weighted member and into the yarn feed tube, the weighted member is axially movable along a longitudinal axis of the frame member such that the bore of the weighted member is axially movable about and between a bottom end and a top end of the elongate slot in response to tension applied to the yarn as a result of yarn hang ups on the wound yarn source.
Method and System for Detecting Faults and Abnormal Wear Conditions in Oil & Gas Wireline Logging Winch Units
Systems and methods are provided for detecting potential failures in logging winch systems to enable efficient maintenance are provided. An example of such a system may include a logging winch system that conveys a downhole tool into a wellbore on a cable and a data processing system. The logging winch system may include sensors that measure observed quantities relating to operation of the logging winch system. The data processing system may determine correlation signatures that relate the observed quantities to the operation of the logging winch system and may identify when one or more of the correlation signatures indicates abnormal operation.

Electric retracting hose&cord reel
The present invention relates to an electric retracting hose & cord reel. A reel body is connected with a driving motor through a driven gear and a driving gear. The driving gear is provided with an arresting disc and a locking device corresponding to the arresting disc. The driving motor and an electromagnet in the locking device are connected with a control plate. The control plate is connected with a locking switch and a motor on-off switch on an arresting block. The locking switch controls the electromagnet through the control plate to act. The motor on-off switch controls the driving motor through the control plate to be started and stopped. The locking device is arranged on the reel body, and a hose can be controlled through the locking device to continue to be pulled out in a locking position; and the locking device and the motor are remotely controlled wirelessly through the locking switch and the motor on-off switch so as to achieve that the pull-out and the retraction of the hose or cord of the electric retracting hose & cord reel are automatically controlled. Because an overload protection device is arranged on the control plate, it can ensure that when external resistance and sudden condition are encountered, the motor is emergently stopped and the reel body can stop rotating at any time, thereby performing a safety protection effect on an operator and a working environment.
Twine tension control assembly
A baler twine tension control assembly including a displacement detector and elements defining a twine path. The twine path enters and exits the twine tension control assembly and within the twine tension control assembly extends across a first fixed location and a second fixed location as well as across an intermediate displaceable location located between the first fixed location and the second fixed location. The displacement detector is connected to the intermediate displaceable location and generates a signal indicative of the displacement of the displaceable location.

SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS FOR A TANK INSPECTION ROBOT AND TETHER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Systems, methods and apparatus for a tank inspection vehicle and a tether management system (TMS) are disclosed. The tank inspection vehicle is connected to the TMS via a negatively buoyant tether. The TMS is also connected to a power source external to a tank via a power and communications cable. The TMS selectively connects the vehicle to the power source via the tether and the power and communications cable. The TMS may include a frame, a float, a reel, a reel mechanism, a float switch, one or more sensors, and a control unit having one or more processors communicable with one or more memories. The TMS is configured to reel or unreel the tether in response to the movement of the vehicle and provide power to the vehicle when the TMS, vehicle, and the components thereof are submerged in a flammable fluid.

Fish tape assembly
A fish tape tool includes a housing including a base and a cover. The housing defines a chamber between the base and the cover. The base defines an exit opening and a channel extending from the chamber to the exit opening. The fish tape tool also includes a drum configured to be inserted into the chamber of the housing, the drum containing a fish tape. The drum is configured to be manually rotatable relative to the housing to dispense or retract the fish tape from the housing via the channel and the exit opening. The cover defines a central aperture that is aligned with a central bore of the drum.
