MATERIAL TRACKING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A material tracking system is provided for tracking material stored on and drawn from a reel. The material tracking system may include a reel, detection element, digital logic components, battery and power components, transceiver and communication components, location receiver, enclosure, analytic component and interface component. One or more sensors relative to the reel may detect a position indicative of forward or reverse reel rotation. A processor may analyze signals to count rotations of the reel, which is savable in memory. A battery may provide power. The system may also record the time and location associated with rotations. A method to operate a tracking material stored on and drawn from a reel using the material tracking system is also provided.
HIGH EFFICIENCY BOBBIN WINDING DEVICE WITH ADJUSTABILITY
A high efficiency bobbin winding device with adjustability has a housing that encloses at least one motor and associated circuitry and mechanism that allows a user to selectively wind a bobbin with a selected amount of thread. The motor is mounted on a hinged support that rotates to move the motor which has a shaft that spins the bobbin. An adjustment knob is rotated to selectively move the motor support. A sensor detects the amount of thread wound on the bobbin and stops further winding when the proper amount of thread is wound on the bobbin. The housing also has indicator lights to indicate power and other settings. A spool is placed on a rod and is thread through a guide and a tension adjustment and then on the bobbin where it is wound to a selected level.
Material tracking system
A system and method for tracking the remaining length of a material wound on a reel is disclosed. In the system, two sensors deployed relative to the reel (and each other) produce a detection signals when a detection element mounted on the reel is near the respective sensor in an order indicative of forward or reverse reel rotation. The system further includes a processor operably receiving the detection signals to count a total number of forward rotations of the reel, which count is saved in memory. A battery powers the processor, memory, and sensors. The system further includes a transceiver that removably and operably couples between the memory and a calculator that calculates the remaining length of the material wound on the reel based on the total number of forward rotations of the reel. The system may also record the time and location associated with the rotations.

Automatically coiling pipes in spool form with a constant internal pressure
A machine for coiling pipes (1) in spool form, includes a structure (10) supporting a rotating reel (11), a feeder unit for feeding a pipe (1) to the reel (11) in a longitudinal direction (X-X), a device (12) for cutting the pipe (1), a measuring unit (20) for measuring the length of the pipe (1), arranged upstream of the cutting device (12), in the longitudinal direction (X-X). The machine includes a device for hermetically sealing the pipe arranged in a zone of the machine situated upstream in the direction of feeding of the pipe towards the reel of the means for fastening to the reel and upstream of the cutting device in the same direction of feeding.
DEVICE THAT FEEDS AN ELONGATED WORKPIECE TO A FORMING MACHINE, RETROFIT KIT, FORMING INSTALLATION, AND METHOD OF OPERATING A DEVICE
A device that feeds an elongated workpiece to a forming machine includes a reeling unit with a frame and a reel carried by the frame and accommodates a workpiece supply formed as a coil of workpiece material. The reel is mounted rotatably about a reel axis relative to the frame. The device has a weight-distribution sensing device set up to sense a lateral distribution of a reel weight with respect to the reel axis, the reel weight representing a weight of the reel with or without an accommodated coil.
