A magazine for packs of blanks includes a vertical channel configured for inserting and extracting packs of blanks, a succession of groups of supporting parts movable between a retracted position to allow the packs of blanks to move along the channel towards a portion under the supporting part, and an at least partly extracted position, in which the supporting part intercepts a pack of blanks moving down the channel and provides a steady support for the pack of blanks, and transmission means configured to automatically move each supporting part from the retracted position to the at least partly extracted position when the supporting part immediately below it intercepts a respective pack of blanks, thereby defining the steady support.

A post-processing apparatus includes a post-processing device, an ejection device, and an ejection tray. The post-processing device executes post-processing on a medium on which an image is formed by an image forming apparatus. The ejection device ejects the medium on which the post-processing is executed by the post-processing device. The ejection tray holds the medium ejected by the ejection device. The ejection tray includes a main tray having an upper face inclined downward in an ejection direction, and a movable tray being rotatably supported by the main tray between a stacking position at which the medium ejected by the ejection device remains stacked on the upper face of the main tray and an ejection position at which the medium ejected by the ejection device slides along the upper face of the main tray.

A post-processing apparatus includes a post-processing device, an ejection device, and an ejection tray. The post-processing device executes post-processing on a medium on which an image is formed by an image forming apparatus. The ejection device ejects the medium on which the post-processing is executed by the post-processing device. The ejection tray holds the medium ejected by the ejection device. The ejection tray includes a main tray having an upper face inclined downward in an ejection direction, and a movable tray being rotatably supported by the main tray between a stacking position at which the medium ejected by the ejection device remains stacked on the upper face of the main tray and an ejection position at which the medium ejected by the ejection device slides along the upper face of the main tray.

The invention relates to a consumable-material handling device for transporting and/or handling at least one consumable material (12a; 12b), in particular packaging material, comprising at least one at least partially autonomous handling unit (14a; 14b), which is at least provided for handling the consumable material (12a; 12b). According to the invention, the machine tool comprises at least one, in particular at least partially autonomous, mobility unit (16a; 16b), on which the handling unit (14a; 14b) is arranged and which is at least provided for enabling locomotion, in particular at least partially autonomous locomotion, of the handling unit (14a; 14b).

An image forming apparatus includes a stacking portion, a pickup roller, a motor, an image forming unit, and a controller. Upon receiving an instruction for starting a first image forming job, the controller performs an initial operation of supplying current to a motor winding of the motor in a stop state and determining a phase of the rotor based on the flowing current. Based on the determined phase, the controller supplies current to rotate the rotor from its stop state and holds the rotor at a first phase when the first job ends. Upon receiving start instructions for a second image forming job within a period until a predetermined time elapses from when the rotor is held at the first phase, the controller rotates the rotor without performing the initial operation. The controller stops supplying current to the winding if no instructions are not received for starting the second job.

An image forming apparatus includes a stacking portion, a pickup roller, a motor, an image forming unit, and a controller. Upon receiving an instruction for starting a first image forming job, the controller performs an initial operation of supplying current to a motor winding of the motor in a stop state and determining a phase of the rotor based on the flowing current. A sheet feeding device includes a sensor, a roller, and a support on which the sensor and the roller are disposed. The support supports the sensor and the roller so that the sensor and the roller contact a surface of the sheet roll. The sensor and the roller face toward an axial center of the sheet roll. The roller is spaced apart from the sensor in a circumferential direction of the sheet roll. The sensor has a detection accuracy capable of detecting a step at a leading end of the sheet roll.

A sheet feeding device includes a sensor, a roller, and a support on which the sensor and the roller are disposed. According to some examples, a skew detection device comprises a first roller rotatable around a first axis, a second roller rotatable around a second axis, a first sensor, and a second sensor. The first sensor measures a first rotation parameter from the first roller and the second sensor measures a second rotation parameter from the second roller. A movement of a print media over the device rotates the first contact roller and the second roller, and a controller determines a skew of the print media based on the first and second rotation parameters captured by the first sensor and the second sensor.
