The main body is provided with a sheet supply tray on which a sheet is mountable. The sheet supply roller is in contact with a sheet mounted on the sheet supply tray and configured to rotate to supply the sheet toward the image forming apparatus. The external output gear is configured to output a driving force to an outside. The clutch mechanism is configured to transmit and interrupt a driving force from the image forming apparatus. The first transmission mechanism is configured to transmit the driving force received through the clutch mechanism to the sheet supply roller. The second transmission mechanism is configured to transmit the driving force received through the clutch mechanism to the external output gear.

RECORDING APPARATUS

A recording apparatus includes a power transmission unit configured to be in a power transmission state in which power of a motor is transmitted to a medium reception tray and a power non-transmission state in which the power of the motor is not transmitted to the medium reception tray, and a switching lever unit configured to switch between the power non-transmission state and the power transmission state. The switching lever unit rotates between a contact position and a non-contact position. When the switching lever unit is at the contact position, the switching lever unit switches between the power non-transmission state and the power transmission state by sliding in contact with the carriage as a carriage reciprocates.

Conveyor and ink-jet recording apparatus

A conveyor includes: a slide gear and a clutch gear including a first gear and a second gear. The clutch gear includes: a first surface and a second surface provided on one of the first and second gears and facing each other; and a contact member provided on the other of the first and second gears and located between the first surface and the second surface. A controller is configured to: control a motor in a state in which the slide gear and the first gear are in mesh with each other, to rotate the clutch gear to establish a state in which the contact member is not in contact with the first surface or the second surface; and control a sliding mechanism to slide the slide gear in the state in which the contact member is not in contact with the first surface or the second surface.

Paper feeding unit and image forming apparatus having the same

A paper feeding apparatus for an image forming apparatus is provided. The paper feeding apparatus includes a first paper feeding roller, a first one-way rotation transmission member disposed coaxially on the first paper feeding roller to transmit a first one-way rotational force to the first paper feeding roller, a second paper feeding roller spaced apart from the first paper feeding tray, a second one-way rotation transmission member disposed coaxially on the second paper feeding roller to transmit a second one-way rotational force to the second paper feeding roller, a drive source to rotate the first and second paper feeding rollers, a first power transmission member disposed between the first one-way rotation transmission member and the drive source, and a second power transmission member disposed between the second one-way rotation transmission member and the drive source.

The apparatus includes a first clutch and a second clutch. The first clutch transmits rotation of the driving unit in a first rotation direction to the first feeding device without transmitting rotation of the driving unit in a second rotation direction that is reverse to the first rotation direction to the first feeding device. The second clutch transmits the rotation of the driving unit in the second rotation direction to the conveyance device and the double-side printing conveyance device and without transmitting the rotation of the driving unit in the first rotation direction to the conveyance device and the double-side printing conveyance device. The third transmission path is configured to transmit the rotation of the driving unit to a conveyance device. The fourth transmission path is configured to transmit the rotation of the driving unit to a double-side printing conveyance device.

Push-pull latch assembly for a detachable media pick mechanism

A push-pull latch assembly for a detachable media pick mechanism. The latch assembly comprises a handle that is slidably and axially insertable into a handle base which is mounted to the pick mechanism housing. The handle base includes a pair of cantilevered, opposed latched arms having opposed catches for engagement with a groove positioned inboard a free end of a cantilevered drive shaft for the pick mechanism. The handle includes triangular rails having inner and outer ramps used to separate the opposed latch arms. The outer ramp separates the latch arms when the handle is inserted into the handle base. The inner ramp separates the latch arms during removal of the pick mechanism from the drive shaft. An axial pushing force engages the latch assembly to the groove and an axial pulling force disengages the latch assembly from the groove allowing for pick assembly removal.

Push-pull latch assembly for a detachable media pick mechanism

A push-pull latch assembly for mounting to a cantilevered post. The latch assembly comprises a handle that is slidably and axially insertable into a handle base which is mountable to a member such as a pick mechanism housing. The handle base includes a pair of cantilevered, opposed latched arms having opposed catches for engagement with a groove positioned adjacent to a free end of a cantilevered post. The handle includes triangular rails having inner and outer ramps used to separate the opposed latch arms. The outer ramp separates the latch arms when the handle is inserted into the handle base. The inner ramp separates the latch arms during removal of the latch assembly from the cantilevered post. An axial pushing force engages the latch assembly to the groove and an axial pulling force disengages the latch assembly from the groove allowing for latch assembly removal.
