Backscatter device-based dental imaging apparatus
11529213 · 2022-12-20 ·

Embodiments of the present invention provide devices (tags), systems, and methods to determine structural integrity and other states of orthodontic-elements, such as orthodontic-brackets, orthodontic-archwires, orthodontic-expanders, orthodontic-elastic-bands, and orthodontic-power-chains, to name a few, in a non-invasive and contactless way, with respect to monitoring; and using comparatively safe and/or low energy electromagnetic radiation, such as radio waves. Negligible-sized backscatter-tags with sensors are implanted in or attached to such orthodontic-elements. Such arrangements may permit monitoring of forces acting on teeth by various orthodontic-elements. Using backscatter imaging technology, the structural integrity and other states of the orthodontic-elements may be monitored; which may allow non-invasive and contactless detection of problems such as cracking, bending, excessive pressure, improper temperature, and/or the like. Additionally, initially unknown locations of the implanted negligible-sized backscatter-tags with sensors may be readily determined upon a given scanning (reading) session; and thus mapped to provide an effective image of the orthodontic-elements.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USING MULTIPOTENT STEM CELLS TO REDUCE DISEASE AND ENHANCE WELLNESS
20220378848 · 2022-12-01 ·

Provided herein are methods of using multipotent stem cells in treatment or prophylaxis of disease, in a system for improving general health and overall wellness. The disclosure provides a method in which multipotent stem cells are intravenously administered within the oral cavity, which has a rapid effect on symptoms of inflammation and/or infection, not only treating periodontal diseases, but also reducing bacterial load, pain, bone loss, etc. as well as stimulating new bone growth and achieving other hallmarks of improvement in health and overall systemic wellness. In some instances, a sample of a bodily fluid is drawn from the patient before injection to measure baseline levels of several biomarkers to obtain the patient's status on the spectrum of health and wellness and/or to compare post-treatment effects of the injected stem cells, to measure improvement, and to develop a treatment plan for enhancing multisystem wellness.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING OCCLUSAL LOADING BASED ON SIMULATED HUMAN INGESTION ACTIONS
20220378350 · 2022-12-01 ·

A system for generating occlusal loading is provided, including a loading appliance and a controller. The loading appliance includes three load transmission elements and three actuators. The load transmission elements are adapted to be positioned between upper and lower anterior teeth of the patient and between upper and lower posterior teeth on the left and right sides of the patient's mouth, respectively. The load transmission elements are separated from each other. The actuators are coupled to the load transmission elements, respectively. The controller is configured to control the three actuators to actuate the three load transmission elements individually and sequentially, with a rest period between successive actions of the three load transmission elements, to transmit vibration energy from the three actuators to the patient's periodontal tissues of the anterior teeth, the left posterior teeth, and the right posterior teeth.

Method of establishing upper boundary for dental prosthetic
11510763 · 2022-11-29 · ·

A method is used to provide a dental prosthetic with an upper boundary that cannot be seen when a patient smiles with the dental prosthetic installed. The method includes tracing a smile line on a dental appliance while the dental appliance is in the patient's mouth and while the patient is smiling. The method then includes transferring that smile line from the dental appliance to a study cast of the patient's mouth. The study cast is then scanned to create a three-dimensional digital model that includes the transferred smile line. The three-dimensional digital model is used to generate a surgical plan and surgical hardware for installation of the dental prosthetic. The dental prosthetic may include a full arch restoration.
