DENTAL, ENDODONTIC, AND PERIODONTIC TREATMENT METHODS AND SYSTEMS
In a method and system for performing a treatment on a tooth, ultrasonic energy is generated and transmitted by an ultrasonic instrument to a fluid located in the interior of the tooth. The amplitude and frequency of the ultrasonic energy causes inertial cavitation of gas vesicles located in bacteria present in the fluid to assist in cleaning, disinfecting, and/or delivering a payload to the fluid and interior of the tooth but is below the safety limit for ultrasonic imaging.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR INHIBITION AND INTERRUPTION OF BIOFILM FORMATION
Compositions and methods for inhibiting and interrupting biofilm formation, and for destabilizing established biofilms are provided, the novel compositions including polymeric resins and monomeric non-polymerizable and polymerizable resins. More particularly, the compositions and methods enable the protection and removal of biofilms from surfaces in the context of medical, consumer, domestic, food service, environmental and industrial applications, where the effects constitute beneficial and desirable biofilm attenuating activity.
MATERIAL SCIENCES APPLICATIONS FOR AN ORAL APPLIANCE FOR DELIVERY OF A MEDICAMENT
An oral appliance for delivering a medicament to an oral cavity is provided, the oral appliance having an interior surface and an exterior surface, the interior surface and/or exterior surface configured to contour a treatment area and deliver medicament thereto, the treatment area comprising soft tissue, hard tissue or a combination of soft tissue and hard tissue, at least a portion of the interior surface and/or exterior surface of the oral appliance being less, equal or greater in hardness, elasticity, flexibility, density, porosity, hydrophobicity, hydrophilicity relative to the treatment area. In some embodiments, the oral appliance is designed based on various material science properties to enhance medicament delivery and patient compliance.
PATCH ATTACHABLE TO TEETH
The present disclosure provides a patch attachable to the occlusal plane of posterior teeth, which includes: a drug layer; a backing layer in contact with the drug layer; and a removable part in contact with the backing layer. The patch can be provided as a single-sided type or a double-sided type. It may also be provided as a linear type or a symmetric type. The present disclosure is directed to providing a patch that can be easily attached to the occlusal plane of posterior teeth.

Oral Irrigator
The present application provides an oral irrigator which includes an irrigator body. The irrigator body includes a water tank, a nozzle, and a cathode plate and an anode plate are provided spaced apart from each other at a bottom of the water tank. The anode plate and the anode plate are electrically connected to a negative electrode and a positive electrode of a power supply component of the oral irrigator, respectively. A water outlet of the water tank is located at the bottom of the water tank. Water in the water tank is electrolyzed by the cathode plate and the anode plate to generate ozone water and hydrogen-rich water, and flow out from the water outlet to the nozzle of the irrigator body to be sprayed out, aiming to solve a problem that the existing oral irrigator only uses water flow for physical cleaning.
PREVENATIVE DENTAL HARD TISSUE LASER TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
In one aspect, embodiments relate to a system for preventative dental laser treatment that ensures even irradiation of a laser beam. The system includes, a laser arrangement configured to generate the laser beam. The laser beam has one or more of a super-Gaussian energy profile and a transverse ring mode. The system also includes a focus optic. The focus optic is configured to converge the laser beam with a numerical aperture of 0.1 or less to a focal region. The system also includes a hand piece configured to direct the laser beam at a surface of a dental hard tissue. The system additionally includes a controller. The controller is configured to control one or more parameters of the laser source, such that a portion of the surface of the dental hard tissue is heated to a temperature in a range between 400° Celsius and 1300° Celsius.
Release agent receptacle
The present disclosure includes method, system, apparatus, and indicator embodiments. One apparatus includes an appliance for placement over one or more teeth and a release agent receptacle including an outer portion provided on appliance surface, an inner portion provided within the outer portion, and one or more apertures formed in the outer portion.
ELECTRIC FIELD GENERATING DEVICE FOR ORAL CARE AND ORAL CARE DEVICE INCLUDING SAME
An electric field generating device for oral care of the present invention includes: at least one electrode configured to receive a driving signal and generate an electric field corresponding to the driving signal; and a signal supply part configured to generate the driving signal by mixing an AC signal and a DC signal and supply the driving signal to an electrode.
DENTAL DEVICE FOR TOOTH WHITENING
Dental devices are described that include isolated, non-pathogenic, hydrogen peroxide-producing bacterial strains and genetically engineered LDH-deficient bacterial strains, which can be used to whiten teeth and treat periodontal disease.
