Scan body with snap-in retention capability
A scan body for intraoral scanning includes a snap-in retention capability for engagement with a dental implant having a first engagement section. The second engagement section is configured for a snap-in or frictional fit with the first engagement section to releasably secure the scan body to the implant.
MEDICAL PROSTHESES, MEDICAL OSTEOSYNTHETIC DEVICES OR HEARING AIDS WITH SECURITY AND/OR IDENTIFICATION ELEMENTS
The invention relates to a device (4) in the form of a medical prosthesis (9, 17), medical osteosynthesis device, hearing aid or hearing aid housing, essentially made of metal, wherein the device (4, 9, 17) comprises at least one optical diffractive element with a grating (6) which is directly embossed in an exposed metal surface in the form of a security and/or identification element. The invention furthermore relates to methods for making such devices and to uses of such devices.
THERMOPLASTIC FILM KIT
A thermoplastic film kit for cosmetic dental repairs includes a plurality of sheets. Each sheet has a respective color so that the plurality of sheets comprises a plurality of colors. The sheets comprise thermoplastic and are configured to be thermoformed. A respective sheet that has an associated color, which substantially matches teeth that are positioned adjacent to a portion of a bite of a patient, is configured to be thermoformed to a cast that is prepared from a mold of the portion of the bite. The thermoforming of the respective sheet generates a covering that is configured to be bonded to the teeth within the portion of the bite to cover abnormal teeth. The associated color of the covering matches the teeth that are positioned adjacent to the portion of the bite.
PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUSES WITH MULTI-SENSOR FUSION
A patient support apparatus includes a plurality of primary sensors adapted to measure different parameters used in the control of the patient support apparatus. One or more suites of secondary sensors are added to the patient support apparatus to provide data about the primary sensors. The secondary sensors may be used to detect errors in the primary sensors, to modify outputs from the primary sensors, and/or to provide usage and/or diagnostic data about the use of the patient support apparatus. The suite(s) of secondary sensors may measure parameters that affect the outputs of one or more of the primary sensors. In some embodiments, the suite(s) of secondary sensors include one or more dormant sensors that are not used on the patient support apparatus until a code modification is received from one or more external sources instructing the control system of the patient support apparatus to begin using the dormant sensor(s).
Customized root canal obturation cores and methods of making customized root canal obturation cores
A core for obturating a root canal includes a body that has a pre-formed contour that closely matches a contour of the root canal. When the core is inserted in the root canal with or without sealer, there are essentially no voids in the root canal. A method of making a customized root canal obturation core includes generating a three-dimensional image of a root canal. The method also includes manufacturing the customized root canal obturation core based on the three-dimensional image of the root canal. The customized root canal obturation core has a preformed contour that closely matches a contour of the root canal such that when the core is inserted in the root canal with or without sealer there are essentially no voids in the root canal.
DENTAL HAND PIECE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DENTAL HAND PIECE
A dental hand piece has: a hand piece head provided at the front end section thereof; and a connection section provided at the rear end section thereof, and the dental hand piece is used by connecting the connection section to a dental unit. The dental hand piece is provided with: a plurality of metallic pipes for providing communication between the hand piece head and the connection section; and an elastic resin member mounted so as to cover a portion extending at least from the rear end section of the hand piece head to the front end section of the connection section. The outer peripheries of the metallic pipes are embedded within the elastic resin member so as to be in close contact with the inside thereof.
Method for the preparation of glasses and glass ceramics with SiO2 as main crystal phase
The invention relates to a method for the preparation of a glass ceramic or a glass, which comprise cerium ions and are suitable in particular for the preparation of dental restorations, the fluorescence properties of which largely correspond to those of natural teeth. The invention also relates to a glass ceramic and a glass which can be obtained using the method according to the invention, the use thereof as dental material and in particular for the preparation of dental restorations, as well as a glass-forming composition which is suitable for use in the method according to the invention.
Dental prosthesis coloring device, machining apparatus, and coloring method
A coloring device for coloring a dental prosthesis by an inkjet method, the dental prosthesis coloring device includes an inkjet head having a nozzle that ejects ink droplets; a holding unit that holds the prosthesis; a drive unit that moves the inkjet head or the holding unit in a predetermined direction in an XYZ orthogonal coordinate system; and a control unit that controls the inkjet head and the drive unit, wherein the control unit is configured to control the inkjet head and the drive unit based on predetermined coloring data and three-dimensional data of the prosthesis.
STORAGE STABLE SELF-ADHESIVE COMPOSITE CEMENTS WITH GOOD TRANSPARENCY AND GOOD RADIOPACITY
A radically polymerizable composition comprising at least one polyfunctional radically polymerizable monomer having no acid group, at least one acid group-containing radically polymerizable monomer and/or at least one acidic oligomer, at least one fluoroaluminosilicate glass filler and/or radiopaque glass filler, and at least one initiator for the radical polymerization, wherein the fluoroaluminosilicate glass filler and/or radiopaque glass filler is coated with a silica (hetero)polycondensate. The composition is characterized by high stability and is particularly suitable as a dental material.
