A post-processing device includes an intermediate tray on which a medium transported in a transport direction is placed, a discharge port through which the medium post-processed on the intermediate tray is discharged, a discharge tray which is disposed in a gravity direction with respect to the discharge port and on which the medium discharged from the discharge port is placed, and an elevating mechanism which elevates the discharge tray, in which the elevating mechanism can move the discharge tray to a first normal position and a first standby position positioned in a direction opposite to the gravity direction with respect to the first normal position, and moves the discharge tray to the first normal position or the first standby position according to an amount of ink before the medium comes in contact with the discharge tray or the medium previously placed on the discharge tray.
TRANSPORT DEVICE AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A transport device includes a transport belt, an abutting unit, a moving mechanism, and a displacement detection unit. The transport belt has an adhesive layer capable of adhering to a medium, and is capable of transporting the medium adhering to the adhesive layer. The abutting unit is capable of abutting against a surface of the adhesive layer. It is assumed that a direction in which the abutting unit is away from the adhesive layer is a first direction and a direction opposite thereto is a second direction. The moving mechanism is capable of moving a position of the abutting unit with respect to the surface in the first direction and the second direction. The displacement detection unit detects a displacement amount of the transport belt in the first direction when the moving mechanism moves the abutting unit in the first direction while the abutting unit abuts against the surface.
TRANSPORT DEVICE AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A transport device includes a transport belt, an abutting unit, a moving mechanism, and a displacement detection unit. The transport belt has an adhesive layer capable of adhering to a medium, and is capable of transporting the medium adhering to the adhesive layer. The abutting unit is capable of abutting against a surface of the adhesive layer. It is assumed that a direction in which the abutting unit is away from the adhesive layer is a first direction and a direction opposite thereto is a second direction. The moving mechanism is capable of moving a position of the abutting unit with respect to the surface in the first direction and the second direction. The displacement detection unit detects a displacement amount of the transport belt in the first direction when the moving mechanism moves the abutting unit in the first direction while the abutting unit abuts against the surface.
MEDIUM PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM INCORPORATING SAME
A medium processing apparatus includes a conveyor, a liquid applier, and a crimper. The conveyor conveys a medium. The liquid applier performs liquid application of applying liquid to a part of the medium conveyed by the conveyor, the medium being at least one medium. The crimper presses and deforms a bundle of media including the medium to which the liquid is applied by the liquid applier, to bind the bundle of media. The liquid applier adjusts an application amount of the liquid in the liquid application according to an environmental condition that is a factor that affects a binding strength with which the bundle of media is bound by pressing and deforming of the crimper.
Post-processing apparatus
The apparatus includes a first ejection unit, a processing tray, a blower unit, a control unit, and a post-processing unit. The first ejection unit ejects a medium recorded by ejection of a liquid. On the processing tray, the medium ejected by the first ejection unit is stacked. The blower unit blows air to the medium stacked on the processing tray. The control unit controls the blower unit. The post-processing unit post-processes the medium stacked on the processing tray. Based on processing information about processing performed on the medium, the control unit changes a blowing amount at which the blower unit blows air.
Post-processing apparatus
The apparatus includes a first ejection unit, a processing tray, a blower unit, a control unit, and a post-processing unit. The first ejection unit ejects a medium recorded by ejection of a liquid. On the processing tray, the medium ejected by the first ejection unit is stacked. The blower unit blows air to the medium stacked on the processing tray. The control unit controls the blower unit. The post-processing unit post-processes the medium stacked on the processing tray. Based on processing information about processing performed on the medium, the control unit changes a blowing amount at which the blower unit blows air.
TRANSPORT DEVICE AND LIQUID EJECTION DEVICE
A transport unit includes a glue belt, a pressurizing roller, a roller driving unit, and a control unit. The glue belt includes an adhesive layer. The pressurizing roller presses a medium against the adhesive layer while reciprocating in a Y direction. The roller driving unit generates a driving force for the pressurizing roller to reciprocate. The control unit controls the roller driving unit. The pressurizing roller is separated from the adhesive layer along with reciprocation. The control unit is capable of detecting a load of the roller driving unit, and determines whether the magnitude of the adhesive force of the adhesive layer is less than a target value, based on the load.
POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS THAT PERFORMS POST-PROCESSING ON SHEETS DISCHARGED FROM IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A buffer unit receives a sheet and temporarily holds a predetermined number of sheets so as to be overlaid on one another. A stacking unit stacks the predetermined number of sheets conveyed toward a first direction. A moving unit comes into contact with an uppermost sheet among the predetermined number of sheets stacked on the stacking unit and moves the uppermost sheet further toward the first direction. A regulating unit comes into contact with an end portion of the stack of sheets on the stacking unit to regulate the position of the stack of sheets. A control unit controls the predetermined number of sheets.
Thermosetting unit, in particular for a textile printer
A thermosetting unit, in particular for a textile printer, includes a pair of stationary supports, a thermosetting roller extending between said stationary supports and rotatably carried by said stationary supports around a longitudinal axis thereof, a stationary infrared lamp extending inside said thermosetting roller and having opposite ends supported by said stationary supports, and a temperature-uniforming device housed inside the thermosetting roller.
POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
The aligning device receives a sheet conveyed in a sheet conveyance direction in a stackable manner and aligns a position of the sheet in the sheet conveyance direction. The moving mechanism moves the sheet aligned by the aligning device in the sheet conveyance direction together with the aligning device. The controller selectively executes a first mode in which first post-processing is performed on the sheet and then second post-processing is performed on the sheet and a second mode in which the second post-processing is performed on the sheet without performing the first post-processing on the sheet. The controller, in response to a selection of the first mode or the second mode, causes the moving mechanism to adjust a position of the aligning device in the sheet conveyance direction before the aligning device receives the sheet as a target of the first post-processing or the second post-processing, respectively.
