When the humidity detection unit detected a humidity less than a lower limit value (one example of a first predetermined value) (positive determination in step S12), the interior of the housing is humidified by the humidifying unit during transport by the transport unit or during discharge by the discharge unit (step S16).

The support member is configured to be mounted adjacent a first transport path of a plurality of sheets and such that the support member is movable between a first inoperative position in which the at least one guide member does not impinge upon the first transport path, and a second operative position in which the at least one guide member is introduced into the first transport path to redirect one or more of the sheets to a second, alternative transport path. The device further includes an actuator configured to move the support member between the first and second positions. The actuator is connected to the support member such that vibrations imparted by the actuator to the support member, as the support member moves between the first and the second positions, are substantially parallel to the first transport path.

Various implementations include an extended repeated-use table cover device. The device includes a roller, a non-silicone mat, a disinfecting enclosure, a table mount, and a winding mechanism. An outer surface of the roller is coupled to a first mat end such that rotation of the roller about a roller axis causes the mat to wind around the outer surface of the roller. An outer surface of the disinfecting enclosure defines an opening extending from the outer surface to a cavity defined by an inner surface of the disinfecting enclosure. The roller is disposed within the cavity, and the mat is extendable through the opening. The winding mechanism is for rotating the roller from an extended position to a retracted position. The mat is durable enough to be used for at least three months under expected standard use without needing to be replaced.

A converting line for coreless roll products includes a rewinding machine and a controller. A log of convolutely wound web material is wound in the rewinding machine during a wind cycle. A diameter of the log, a caliper of the web material, and an amount of tension of the web is determined at a plurality of time points during a time period of the winding cycle. The controller is enabled to generate a signal to change an operating condition of the converting line based upon at least one of a diameter determination at a time point during the wind cycle, a caliper determination at a time point during the wind cycle, a wound web amount determination at a time point during the wind cycle, and a tension determination at a time point during the wind cycle.

A drying device includes a drum, a contact conveyance roller, and a cooling device. The drum heats a continuous medium while conveying the continuous medium. Further, the contact conveyance roller conveys the continuous medium separated from the drum. The continuous medium is wound around the contact conveyance roller. The cooling device cools the contact conveyance roller.
