Recording device and program
A recording device includes an edge detection unit configured to detect an edge of a medium on a conveyance path, and a control unit configured to receive detection information from the edge detection unit, wherein the control unit acquires, based on the detection information from the edge detection unit, a direction of skewing of the medium and/or an amount of the skewing on the conveyance path and outputs skewing information including the direction of the skewing and the amount of the skewing.
Cable Spools with Sheaves
A spooling system for deploying cable, hose, and/or umbilical connections may include a drum, an air motor, a sheave having one or more sensor, and an electronic control unit coupled to an electro-pneumatic drive for controlling the system. The sensors may provide information to the electronic control unit, such as a measured line tension and/or a length of cable, hose or umbilical connection that has been deployed, and the information may be displayed on the electronic control unit. The electronic control unit also may allow an operator to rotate the reel, stop rotation of the reel, increase or decrease the speed of rotation of the reel, increase or decrease pressure and/or line tension, and/or select between a normal mode of operation and a tensioning mode of operation.
CHARGE-ELIMINATING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, AND CHARGE ADJUSTING APPARATUS
A charge-eliminating apparatus includes a charge-eliminating member configured to come into contact with a sheet and eliminate static charges from the sheet, a power supply configured to apply a voltage to the charge-eliminating member, a current detection circuit configured to detect a current flowing through the charge-eliminating member, and a control unit configured to control a value of the voltage by the power supply, based on a detection result obtained by the current detection circuit when the sheet passes over the charge-eliminating member, such that the current falls within a predetermined range with respect to a target value, wherein the control unit acquires a detection result of an environment detection sensor that detects an environmental condition, and wherein the control unit changes the target value based on the detection result of the environment detection sensor during execution of a job that eliminates static charges.
MEDIUM PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM INCORPORATING SAME
A medium processing apparatus includes a liquid applier, a post-processing device, and circuitry. The liquid applier performs liquid application on a medium. The post-processing device performs a binding process on a media bundle including the medium subjected to the liquid application by the liquid applier, or a medium not subjected to the liquid application. The circuitry is to control operations of the liquid applier and the post-processing device according to operation modes. The operation modes of the post-processing device include a first mode to perform the binding process on the media bundle including the medium on which the liquid application is performed, and a second mode to perform the binding process on the medium on which the liquid application is not performed.
DOCUMENT FEEDING DEVICE AND IMAGE SCANNING APPARATUS
A transportation device transports a document sheet from a feeding tray to an output tray. A first lifting device lifts and lowers the feeding tray. A feeding-tray upperlimit sensor detects that the feeding tray reaches an upperlimit height. An output-tray sheet sensor detects the document sheet on the output tray. Further, the controller at a standby status (a) determines whether a document sheet is on the output tray or not, (b1) if a document sheet is not on the output tray, arranges the feeding tray at a predetermined intermediate position, and (b2) if a document sheet is on the output tray, arranges the feeding tray at a lower position that is a position apart by a predetermined distance from a position of the feeding tray when detecting that the feeding tray reaches the upperlimit height. Here, the lower position is a position higher than the intermediate position.
Apparatus for processing sheets
A apparatus for processing sheets includes: a conveyance unit conveying a sheet; a processing unit provided with processing members processing the sheet along a conveyance direction, and a moving unit moving the processing members in a width direction; and a controller. When a processing position in the width direction to be processed by the processing members is different between a sheet conveyed ahead by the conveyance unit and a subsequent sheet, the controller processes the subsequent sheet by using a processing member having a minimum movement distance from the processing position of the sheet conveyed ahead among the processing members.
