A photo-interruptor unit includes a photo-interruptor including a light emitting component, a photosensing portion, and a hook portion configured to deform elastically in a deformation direction, and a supporting portion. The supporting portion includes an attaching surface, a hole through which the hook portion is inserted in an insertion direction, a guide portion configured to guide the hook portion so that the hook portion deforms in the deformation direction in a state where the photo-interruptor is moved in the deformation direction and a movement direction intersecting the insertion direction to be attached to the supporting portion, and a regulating portion configured to protrude from the attaching surface and configured to regulate a position in the movement direction of the photo-interruptor whose hook portion has been guided by the guide portion to a position where the hook portion is overlapped with the hole.
Sheet stacker and image forming system
A sheet stacker includes a sheet stacking portion, a pair of sheet restrictors, a sheet feeder, and a position detector. A bundle of sheets is stacked on the sheet stacking portion in a stacking direction, and the sheet stacking portion moves in the stacking direction. The pair of sheet restrictors move in a width direction to regulate a position of the bundle of sheets in the width direction. The sheet feeder feeds a top sheet of the bundle of sheets at a sheet feeding position in a sheet feeding direction. The sheet feeding position is disposed at a top of the bundle of sheets in the stacking direction. The position detector is disposed between the pair of sheet restrictors in the width direction and above the sheet feeding position in the stacking direction. The position detector detects a position of the pair of sheet restrictors in the width direction.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes an image former that forms an image on a sheet of paper, a detector that detects a physical property of a sheet of paper, a receiver that receives paper identification information used in identification of a sheet of paper designated by a user, and a hardware processor. The hardware processor performs: first judgement of judging whether or not there is a correspondence between the paper identification information received by the receiver and a detection result by the detector, second judgement of judging whether or not there is a correspondence between a detection result by the detector of a first sheet of paper conveyed and a detection result by the detector of a second sheet of paper conveyed; and operation control of the image former based on a first judgement result in the first judgement and a second judgement result in the second judgement.
SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE AND SHEET CONVEYING METHOD
A sheet conveying device includes a first roller, a second roller, and a controller. The first roller is configured to rotate in a forward direction for sheet conveyance along a sheet conveying direction. The second roller is disposed downstream with respect to the first roller in the sheet conveying direction and configured to rotate in a forward direction along the sheet conveying direction and in a reverse direction. The controller is configured to control the second roller to rotate in the reverse direction at a timing when a leading end of a sheet that is nipped and conveyed by the first roller reaches a nip of the second roller.
TAPE LENGTH TAPE DISPENSER
An apparatus for dispensing a pre-determined cut length of tape that includes a tape dispensing system that includes a tape dispenser, a scaling sensor that determines the length of a box or object to which the cut length of tape is to be applied and a control system including a processor processing signals from the scaling sensor to determine the length of the cut length of tape to be dispensed and controlling the dispenser to dispense the required length of tape.
Sheet feeding device, image forming apparatus, image forming system, and sheet processing apparatus
A sheet feeding device includes a sheet stacker configured to stack a sheet bundle; a blower configured to float a sheet on an upper portion of the sheet bundle; a conveyor configured to convey the sheet floated by the blower; a lift configured to lift up and down the sheet stacker; a first reflective optical sensor configured to detect the sheet floated by the blower; a second reflective optical sensor configured to detect the sheet bundle and a side face of the sheet stacker, the side face including a detection region to be detected by the second reflective optical sensor and a non-detection region not to be detected by the second reflective optical sensor; and circuitry configured to control the lift based on a detection result of the first reflective optical sensor and a detection result of the second reflective optical sensor. The circuitry is configured to cause the lift to lift up the sheet stacker in response to a change from a detection state to a non-detection state of the second reflective optical sensor.
SHEET CONVEYANCE DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS PROVIDED THEREWITH
A sheet conveyance device includes a sheet conveyance passage, a mounting plate, and a sheet detection sensor. The mounting plate is fixed to a recessed portion formed in the inner wall surface of the sheet conveyance passage at its one side it. The sheet detection sensor is fitted on the mounting plate. The sheet detection sensor has a sensor surface. The mounting plate has a mounting surface on which the sheet detection sensor is mounted and a first projection piece which projects from the mounting surface toward the sheet conveyance passage and which is grounded. The first projection piece is disposed upstream, in the sheet conveyance direction, of the sheet detection sensor on the mounting plate. The distance from the mounting surface to the distal end of the first projection piece is greater than the distance from the mounting surface to the sensor surface.
SENSOR UNIT AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS THEREWITH
A sensor unit includes a first housing constituting a first conveying face of a sheet conveying passage, a second housing constituting a second conveying face arranged opposite the first conveying face with a predetermined gap, an edge detection sensor detecting a side edge along the sheet conveying direction, and a gap adjuster supporting the first housing movably in a direction in which the size of the gap increases. When, with the first housing arranged at the first position, a sheet with a thickness greater than a reference value passes through the sheet conveying passage, the first housing moves in the direction in which the size of the gap increases as the sheet enters the sheet conveying passage, to allow the passage of the sheet.
Sheet feeding device, image forming apparatus incorporating the sheet feeding device, and image forming system incorporating the sheet feeding device
A sheet conveying device includes a sheet loader, a loader elevating device, a sheet presence detector to detect a sheet on the sheet loader, and circuitry configured to determine whether the bundle of sheets is loaded on the sheet loader based on a detection result of the sheet presence detector and to control movement of the loader elevating device. The circuitry is configured to cause the loader elevating device to lift the sheet loader to a second position in response to a detection result of the sheet presence detector indicating absence of the sheet on the sheet loader at a first position and not to determine absence of the sheet when the circuitry causes the loader elevating device to lower the sheet loader from the second position to the first position after the circuitry causes the loader elevating device to lift the sheet loader to the second position.
