RADIOMETRY SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DENTAL APPLICATIONS
The present disclosure describes systems and methods for radiometry in dental applications. The disclosed systems include a radiometer, a dental curing light, a composite material reader, and a restoration data storage device, where one or more of the radiometer, dental curing light, composite material reader, and restoration data storage device include one or more communication modules that enable wireless communication between one or more components. The radiometer is preferably programmed to determine the change in a rate of cure of a light-curable composite material and thereby determine whether an optimum cure time has been reached for the light-curable composite material. The communication modules may be used to transmit information between the radiometer and the curing light, and between one or more of the radiometer and curing light and one or more of the composite material reader and restoration data storage device.
Three dimensional fabricating material systems and methods for producing layered dental products
A three-dimensional printed dental device formed from rapid prototyping with printable polymerizable materials, the dental device comprising a polymeric composition, wherein the polymeric composition, after curing, has at least one property of flexural strength, flexural modulus, fracture toughness, and work of fracture that is at least 20% greater in measured value at 37° C. in comparison to measured value at 23° C.
Dental Composite Capsule With Useful Life Indicator
The present invention relates to a capsule for use in dispensing dental composite. The capsule includes a hollow body having a wall defining an interior space of the body. The body includes a proximal end and a distal end having a dispensing orifice. The wall comprises a polymeric material, and a time-temperature indicating material and/or a temperature indicating material. The capsule includes one or more composite resins positioned in the interior space of the body.
Packaged Orthodontic Appliances
The present disclosure provides a packaged orthodontic appliance comprising an orthodontic appliance and a packaging base including first and second tie-wing support arms, wherein a first tie-wing support arm supports the first tie-wing of the orthodontic appliance, and the second tie-wing support arm supports the second tie-wing of the orthodontic appliance.
Dental Trauma Kit
A compact, portable, self-contained dental trauma kit for on-site treatment and repair of dental avulsion, luxation and, subluxation in remote, non-dental and other emergent settings consists of a dental splinting material (the BAND-AID), dental resins (the glue), and a dental curing light (the glue hardener). This is everything necessary for the user to stabilize the traumatically involved teeth according to proper dental protocol in remote locations, without the need for any additional materials or other accessories. The use of the kit allows the patient to be treated rapidly, in less than thirty minutes, which drastically increases the survival rate of re-implanted or repositioned tooth or teeth.
Anatomical drape device
Disclosed is an anatomical drape, such as a dental drape, for covering a treatment area of an anatomical part. The drape includes an elastomeric material capable of conforming to the contours of the anatomical part. The drape preferably includes a curing agent. Activation of the curing agent, for example by a light source, causes selective hardening of the stretched material to at least partially set the drape in a configuration conforming to the anatomical part. The semi-rigid set drape preferably is liquid impermeable but gas permeable. A method of manufacturing the drape is also disclosed.
DEVICE HAVING A THERMOCHROMIC TEMPERATURE INDICATOR FOR ACCOMMODATING, HEATING AND APPLYING DENTAL MATERIALS
The present invention relates to devices having a thermochromic temperature indicator for accommodating, heating and applying dental materials, to corresponding methods of heating dental materials and of recognizing the temperature of the dental materials, and to a corresponding kit.
ASSEMBLIES, METHODS, AND KITS INCLUDING A COMPRESSIBLE MATERIAL
The present invention provides assemblies, kits, and methods including a compressible material. Optionally, a hardenable dental composition (e.g., an adhesive or primer) is in contact with the compressible material for bonding a dental article (e.g., an orthodontic appliance) to a tooth structure. Removal of excess hardenable and/or hardened dental composition, if desired, can be facilitated for embodiments in which the hardenable dental composition is an unfilled or a lightly filled composition.
Dental attachment formation structures
The present disclosure provides methods, computing device readable medium, devices, and systems having a dental attachment formation structures. One dental appliance includes a body having a first surface shaped to abut an exterior surface of a tooth and a well portion of the first surface shaped to form an attachment that is to be attached to the exterior surface of the tooth, a release layer formed over a surface of the well to allow the attachment to be removed from the well, and an attachment material that is used to form the attachment positioned within the well.
