Assemblies, methods, and kits including a compressible material

The present invention provides assemblies, kits, and methods including a compressible material. Optionally, a hardenable dental composition (e.g., an adhesive or primer) is in contact with the compressible material for bonding a dental article (e.g., an orthodontic appliance) to a tooth structure. Removal of excess hardenable and/or hardened dental composition, if desired, can be facilitated for embodiments in which the hardenable dental composition is an unfilled or a lightly filled composition.

BONDABLE DENTAL ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS INCLUDING A COMPRESSIBLE MATERIAL

Dental assemblies and related methods of making are provided. The dental assemblies include a dental article with a bonding surface an adhesive having both a compressible material and at least one hardenable dental composition extending across the bonding surface. The compressible material is coupled to the dental article by a first quantity of hardened dental composition extending at least partially through the compressible material and contacting the bonding surface. The hardened dental composition extends over less than the entire bonding surface. Adjacent portions of the compressible material contain a second quantity of unhardened dental composition, preserving flexibility of the compressible material. Advantageously, this configuration was found to enhance bond reliability and facilitate manufacturing.

A DENTAL PACKAGE AND A METHOD OF MAKING A DENTAL PACKAGE

A method of processing a dental package (1) which hasthe steps of providing a dental material, providing a cartridge (10) for storing the dental material, providing a first label (20), providing material specific information that is associated with the dental material, providing a second label (30), the second label being circumferentially smaller than the first label, marking at least one of the first and second label with the material specific information; and attaching the second label onto the first label such that the material specific information is enclosed between the first and second label, and such that the second label does nowhere project over the first label.

DENTAL ATTACHMENT POSITIONING APPARATUSES

Dental attachment positioning apparatuses and methods of use. A dental attachment apparatus may include an orthodontic attachment having a surface shaped to conform to a contour of a buccal surface of a tooth, and one or more registration surfaces that are shaped to conform to one or more occlusal surfaces of the patient's teeth. The one or more registration surfaces may be configured to aid in proper positioning or orientation of the orthodontic attachment. When the attachment positioning apparatus is placed on the patient's dentition, the orthodontic attachment is positioned at a specified location with respect to the buccal surface of the tooth.

Composite extraction pen
10321976 · 2019-06-18 ·

A lightweight, small footprint, composite extraction pen, for the delivery of dental filling composite from commercially available composite filled carpules. An electric linear actuator is housed in a slender, pen-like housing configured to accept, constrain and allow the rotational positioning of commercially available composite filled carpules. The carpules are contained within an adaptor that connects to the body of the pen. The linear actuator extends and retracts a piston through a bore in the carpule so as to exert pressure on the composite contained therein. The pen provides precise composite delivery while maintaining a highly visible dental environment.

PACKAGING BODY FOR VISCOUS DENTAL MATERIAL

Provided is a packaging body for viscous dental material of easy structure, including a container (11) of cylindrical shape whose wall thickness is 0.1 mm to 0.8 mm, including one end closed with a sealed part (12a) that is formed of facing edges of the one end, the edges being joined together; and a viscous dental material (15) filled inside the container, having a consistency of 10 mm to 25 mm.

Packaged orthodontic assembly with angled support structure

Packaged orthodontic assemblies include a chamber, an orthodontic appliance, and a support structure engaged with the appliance to secure the appliance in the chamber. The support structure can include a post complemental to a partially enclosed passage, typically an arch wire slot, in the appliance body. The support may orient the wall sections of the enclosed passage at an acute angle relative to a chamber side wall.

ORTHODONTIC STORAGE AND DISPENSING SYSTEMS, PACKAGES, AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME

A storage and dispensing system of orthodontic brackets includes a package with an orthodontic bracket. The package has a base and a cap. The base has a post on which the orthodontic bracket is secured. The cap includes a blind bore. The cap surrounds the post and the orthodontic bracket. The cap and the base are configured to form a moisture tight seal therebetween. The orthodontic bracket may be a precoated orthodontic bracket. The base or the cap includes an o-ring. The package is releasably secured to a strip and the strip includes an RFID tag. The package is releasably secured to a strip. The strip includes an RFID tag. A method of manufacturing orthodontic brackets includes placing a predetermined amount of adhesive on an orthodontic bracket, positioning the precoated orthodontic bracket on the base, and placing the cap over the precoated orthodontic bracket and into contact with the base.
