MEDIUM CONVEYING APPARATUS TO DETECT PREDETERMINED MEDIUM BASED ON LIFT OF MEDIUM
A medium conveying apparatus includes a pick roller feeding a medium, a separation roller located on a downstream side of the pick roller, a conveyance roller located on a downstream side of the separation roller, a medium sensor being located on a downstream side of the separation roller and detecting the medium, a lift sensor detecting a lift of the medium on an upstream side of the conveyance roller, a passing sensor being located on an upstream side of the separation roller and detecting passing of the medium, and a processor to determine that the medium is a predetermined medium when a lift of the medium and passing of the medium are detected in a predetermined period after the medium is detected, and execute abnormality control when the medium is determined to be the predetermined medium.
SENSOR ASSEMBLY AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
Provided is a sensor control apparatus including a main board and a first sensor to a third sensor that are connected in series to the main board. The main board operates the first sensor to the third sensor based on a normal operation mode of operating all the first sensor to the third sensor and a power reduction mode of operating only the first sensor. In the first sensor to the third sensor, the first sensor that operates in the power reduction mode is arranged on an upstream side of the second sensor and the third sensor that do not operate in the power reduction mode, the upstream side being set to a side on which the main board is provided. With such a configuration, the sensor control apparatus can suppress power consumption by operating only a required sensor at a time of the power reduction mode.

A medium feeding mechanism includes a feeder that feeds a medium, a transportation path that is coupled to the feeder and includes a bent portion, a transporter that transports the medium on the transportation path, and a transportation control unit that controls the transporter, wherein the transportation control unit adjusts a transportation velocity of the medium transported by the transporter on the basis of medium information of the medium and a transportation route shape for the medium.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording material includes first and second sheet metal and a moving member. The first sheet metal includes a first facing surface and a first rear surface. The second sheet metal is fixed to the first sheet metal at a fixing portion and includes a second facing surface facing the first facing surface and a second rear surface. The first sheet metal is deformed in a first direction from the first rear surface toward the first facing surface in such a manner that the fixing portion is formed. The fixing portion includes a projection projecting from the second rear surface in the first direction. The moving member overlaps the fixing portion and is disposed at a position that is on an opposite side of the first rear surface from the projection and faces the first rear surface in the first direction.
Image forming apparatus
Image forming apparatus have a plurality of models including a common control board and different in number of electrical components used. The image forming apparatus includes a wire harness including: a third connector removably connected to a first connector provided to the control board; fourth connectors removably connected to second connectors provided to the electrical components; and a plurality of cables connecting the third connector and the fourth connectors. In all of the plurality of models, cables are connected to pins located at both ends of the third connector. In a model in which the number of the plurality of cables is smaller than the number of pins of the third connector, pins of the third connector to which the plurality of cables are not connected are arranged at a central portion in a longitudinal direction of the third connector or near the central portion.

Cassette detection device
A cassette detection device may include: a cassette unit having one or more cassettes mounted therein, the one or more cassettes storing medium therein; a connector unit configured to receive a first signal corresponding to the case in which the one or more cassettes are mounted in the cassette unit or a second signal corresponding to the case in which the one or more cassette are not mounted in the cassette unit, from each of the one or more cassettes through one first transmission terminal; and a main board unit configured to detect one or more of whether and where each of the one or more cassettes is mounted, based on the first or second signal transmitted from the connector unit through a second transmission terminal at a connection position set for each of the one or more cassettes.
SHEET STACKING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet stacking apparatus includes a conveyance path through which a sheet is to be conveyed, a guide which forms a part of the conveyance path and is openable and closeable with respect to the conveyance path, a lock member configured to lock the guide to maintain the guide in a closed state in which the guide is closed with respect to the conveyance path, and a trolley. In a case in which the trolley is placed at a predetermined position in the sheet stacking apparatus, a locked state in which the lock member locks the guide is prohibited from being unlocked so that the guide is maintained in the closed state. In a case in which the trolley is not placed at the predetermined position, the locked state is allowed to become an unlocked state in which the lock member does not lock the guide.
Media Cartridge Assembly
An example disclosed herein includes a media cartridge. The media cartridge includes a housing configured to rotatably support a media roll. The media cartridge further includes a cartridge output within the housing configured to guide a media web from the media roll out of the housing. The media cartridge includes a spring and a media stop assembly configured to translate between a release position and a hold position. When the media stop assembly is in the hold position, the media web of the media roll is pinched between the media stop assembly and a surface and when the media stop assembly is in the release position, the media stop assembly is separated from the surface and the media web is free to move. The spring further biases the media stop assembly towards the hold position and is removable without opening the housing of the media cartridge.
