Image reading apparatus
An image reading apparatus, includes: a supply tray; a discharge tray; a conveyance guide; a reading sensor; a discharge unit, which includes a discharge opening to discharge the sheet conveyed by the conveyance guide to the discharge tray and is configured to move from a third position to a fourth as the document supported by the paper feed tray is decreased, the fourth position being higher than the third position; a first drive source, which generates a drive force; a first rotation body, which moves the movable plate by transmitting the drive force from the first drive source to the movable plate; and a second rotation body, which moves the discharge unit by transmitting the drive force from the first drive source to the discharge unit, wherein a diameter of the first rotation body and a diameter of the second rotation body are different from each other.
Sheet conveyer
A sheet conveyer, having a sheet tray, a tray-driving mechanism, a conveyance guide, a feed roller, a conveyer-driving mechanism, a first sensor, and a controller, is provided. The controller controls the tray-driving mechanism and the conveyer-driving mechanism, during a sequential conveying action, when the first sensor detects an upper-surface level being at a lower limit of a correct range, delay a lift-start timing, at which the tray-driving mechanism starts moving the sheet tray upward, to be later at least than a timing, at which the feed roller after feeding one of the sheets completely and pausing resumes rotating for feeding a next one of the sheets, and cause the sheet tray to complete moving to a higher position prior to completion of feeding of the next sheet.
Medium conveying apparatus including light guide which is bent
A medium conveying apparatus includes a moving mechanism to move the set guide, a guide pair including a first guide having a first opening and a second opening, and a second guide to regulate a vertical direction of the medium conveyance path, a light emitting element and a light receiving element located on an outside of the medium conveyance path with the first guide in between, and on the downstream side of the first opening and the second opening so as to be apart from the moving mechanism by a predetermined distance or more in the medium conveying direction, a first light guide which is bent so as to guide a light emitted from the light emitting element to the first opening, and a second light guide which is bent so as to guide the light incident from the second opening to the light receiving element.
SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS, IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet feeding apparatus is disclosed. This sheet feeding apparatus includes: a feeding roller configured to feed sheets; a conveying roller configured to convey the sheets fed by the feeding roller; a separation roller configured to form a nip portion by being pressed on the conveying roller, and to separate one by one the sheets at the nip portion, the sheets being conveyed by the conveying roller; a guide configured to guide the sheets fed by the feeding roller to the nip portion; and a holder configured to hold the separation roller and the guide, and to be detachably attachable to the sheet feeding apparatus. The guide adheres to the holder and the separation roller is replaceable on the holder that has been removed from the sheet feeding apparatus.
SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND SHEET CONVEYING METHOD
A sheet conveying device includes a sheet placement table, a sheet discharge table, a conveyance mechanism, raising/lowering mechanism, and a raising/lowering control portion. The sheet discharge table is located below the sheet placement table. The conveyance mechanism conveys a sheet placed on the sheet placement table onto the sheet discharge table via an execution position at which image processing is executed by an image processing portion. The raising/lowering mechanism raises and lowers the sheet placement table. The raising/lowering control portion controls the raising/lowering mechanism in accordance with a clearance that is defined by a height from the sheet on the sheet discharge table to the sheet placement table, so as to maintain the clearance to be equal to or higher than a set value.
SHEET FEEDER APPARATUS
A sheet feeder apparatus includes a width detector for a sheet placed on a sheet placement portion, a conveyor for conveying sheets while separating the sheets one by one, a first detector for detecting a sheet having a first width at a plurality of first positions, a second detector for detecting a sheet having a second width that is not detected by the first sheet detector at a plurality of second positions, and a controller for determining skewing of a sheet based on a result of the detection of the sheet performed by the first detector if the width of the sheet is the first width, and determining skewing of a sheet based on a result of the detection performed by the second detector if the width of the sheet is the second width.
Recording device with front side insertion port
A recording device includes a recording unit configured to perform recording on a recording target medium, a first conveyance path that is a conveyance path of the recording target medium including an opposite position that faces the recording unit, and conveyance of the recording target medium in a first direction, a second conveyance path being coupled to the first conveyance path at a position downstream of the recording unit in the first direction, the second conveyance path being coupled to the first conveyance path also at a position upstream of the recording unit in the first direction and configured for conveyance of the recording target medium to the first conveyance path with a surface of the recording target medium inverted, and an insertion port configured to enable insertion of a recording target medium as an insertion material to the second conveyance path from outside.
Document conveyance device, document reading device and image forming apparatus
A document conveyance device includes a sheet feeding tray, a conveyance mechanism, a discharge tray, a document pressing member and a supporting mechanism. The document pressing member comes into contact with an upper face of the document discharged from a conveyance path and presses the document downward. ACTUATION OF PICK MECHANISMS FOR MEDIA STACK HEIGHT SENSING BASED ON NUMBER OF PRINTED SHEETS
According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory on which are stored computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, may cause the processor to receive a first sheet count before execution of a print job, receive a second sheet count after execution of the print job, and determine a number of sheets printed for the print job based on the first sheet count and the second sheet count. The processor may update a pick mechanism activation counter value based on the determined number of printed sheets. Based on a determination that the updated pick mechanism activation counter value is greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold value, the processor may cause a pick mechanism to be actuated to sense a media stack height of print media.
