SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING ATTACHMENTS ONTO SHELL-SHAPED DENTAL APPLIANCES
In one aspect of the present application, there is provided a shell-shaped dental appliance attachment mounting method, comprising: a control device obtaining mounting information; and the control device using the mounting information to control an apparatus to mount and fix an attachment onto an shell-shaped dental appliance.
Dental instrument hanger
A dental instrument hanger has the body of a reader/writer, or an antenna connected to the body, arranged in a hanger unit so as to read identification information from a wireless tag, in a state that an instrument having the wireless tag preliminarily attached thereto is placed in the hanger unit. The hanger includes: an identification information storage that stores the read identification information in a database; a reading history detector that, in response to a driving instruction having been inputted, detects the latest reading history and a reading history read before the instrument displaced from the hanger unit has been displaced with reference to said storage; an identification information specifier that determines a difference between the two reading histories to specify a wireless tag attached to the instrument which has been instructed to drive; and a usage information generator that generates usage information of the instrument.
Sensors for monitoring oral appliances
Detection of a state of an oral appliance (such as an aligner, palatal expander, mandibular repositioning device, etc.) to determine if the oral appliance is functioning properly and/or if it has developed a defect.
Instrument cassette for handling instruments
An instrument cassette (100, 200, 300) for handling instruments comprises a body section (101, 201, 301) for holding the instruments and a radio frequency identifier (102, 202, 302) readable from a distance away from the instrument cassette (100, 200, 300). The radio frequency identifier (102, 202, 302) of the instrument cassette (100, 200, 300) facilitates tracing operations, such as for example disinfection, sterilization, reparation, and clinical use, directed to or carried out with a set of instruments handled with the aid of the instrument cassette (100, 200, 300). The instruments can be for example medical and/or dental hand instruments.
DENTAL LASER UNIT WITH COMMUNICATION LINK TO ASSISTANCE CENTER
A medical treatment apparatus includes a power and control (PAC) device. The PAC device provides electrical power through a cable to a laser handpiece assembly to electrically power a laser source within the handpiece assembly. The PAC device controls operation of the handpiece assembly and detects an identification of the handpiece assembly. The PAC device also monitors data relating to operation of the handpiece assembly. The PAC device uploads, through a communication network to a user assistance center remote from the PAC device, the handpiece assembly identification and the monitored data.
USING AN INTRAORAL MIRROR WITH AN INTEGRATED CAMERA TO RECORD DENTAL STATUS, AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
Disclosed embodiments integrate a camera into an intraoral mirror. Integrating a camera into an intraoral mirror provides an efficient way to record and display what is visible to the healthcare provider in the mirror.
Instrument product and a method for manufacturing the same
An instrument product comprises a medical hand instrument (101) and a radio frequency identifier (102) readable from a distance away from the radio frequency identifier. The radio frequency identifier is at least partly covered with cover material (103) attached with adhesive material to a surface of the medical hand instrument so that the adhesive material is in contact with both the cover materia! and the surface of the medical hand instrument. The cover material can be the same material as the adhesive material, or the cover material may constitute a cover element which comprises a cavity for the radio frequency identifier and which is attached with the adhesive material to the surface of the medical hand instrument.
Wireless patch system for transdermal, transmucosal and dental electrical drug delivery
Methods and systems for delivering drug particles to a target site are disclosed. An example method for implementing the subject matter described herein includes applying a drug delivery patch to a target site. The drug delivery patch can include a substrate, an electrode integrated with the substrate, and a fluid in the substrate having drug particles suspended in the fluid. The method further includes transmitting a signal to the drug delivery patch to power the drug delivery patch by inductive coupling. Powering the drug delivery patch causes the electrode in the drug delivery patch to motivate the drug particles towards a target site of the drug delivery patch.
ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PLURALITY OF ORTHODONTIC APPLIANCES
An arrangement for manufacturing a plurality of orthodontic appliances in parallel, includes an additive printing machine comprising a build platform and configured for additively manufacturing a plurality of teeth models in parallel, a plurality of plates each configured for teeth model printing by the additive printing machine, whereby each plate comprises a unique machine-readable identifier and each plate is detachable and precisely fixed to the build platform, and a thermoforming machine configured for thermoforming a thermoformable material over the plurality of teeth models for receiving the plurality of orthodontic appliances.
HANDPIECE ASSEMBLY FOR MEDICAL DEVICE
A handpiece assembly for a medical device has a handpiece having a handpiece distal portion for receiving an insert assembly including a radiofrequency identifier, an insert antenna and an insert. A handpiece antenna is arranged in the handpiece distal portion. Radiofrequency signal supply means provide radiofrequency signals to the handpiece antenna that communicates with the insert antenna when the insert assembly is inserted in an insertion region in the handpiece distal portion. The handpiece antenna is a loop antenna or segmented ring antenna having at least two segments. A first end of a first segment is connected to a first terminal of the radiofrequency signal supply means, a second end of a last segment is connected to a second terminal of the radiofrequency signal supply means, forming a coil radiating structure generating an electromagnetic field. Each segment has a radiant metal element, with respective inductance, electrically connected to a respective capacitive element. A medical device including a control element, an insert assembly, and the handpiece assembly is also provided.
