20240251693 · 2024-08-01 ·

A residue coulter apparatus is configured to cleanly sever and clear crop debris from a planting row, causing minimal disturbance to the soil. The residue coulter apparatus comprises a pair of crop debris clearing discs each having a plurality of back-swept teeth extending about their periphery. The teeth are separated by recesses formed between the teeth. The clearing discs are located on opposite sides of the planter and are angled toward each other so that the leading edges of the clearing discs are pointed in a toe-in orientation. The residue coulter apparatus also includes floater wheels that are coupled to a first side of the crop debris clearing discs. The floater wheels include a series of tines that are configured to be aligned with the teeth of the clearing disc such that there is one tine per tooth of the clearing discs. The floater wheels also include a series of recesses formed between the tines wherein the recesses are aligned with the recesses formed in the clearing discs.

System for adjusting smoothing tools of a harrow according to location

An agricultural tillage implement and method for adjusting the angle of smoothing tools of a harrow according to a present geographic location are disclosed. The agricultural tillage implement includes a main implement frame and a soil finish system having the harrow support in a trailing position with respect to the main implement frame for smoothing the soil tilled by ground-engaging tillage tools. A control system is configured to actuate a hydraulic system to define the angle of a first set of ground-engaging tillage tools in response to the percentage of plant residue at the present geographic location according to a stored electronic map.

Quick-Change System for a Sweep
20180368305 · 2018-12-27 ·

A quick-change system for a sweep including a sweep with a neck and a removable wedge. The neck serves to couple the sweep to a cultivator shank and comprises an inner surface with at least one lug that fits in at least one hole of the cultivator shank, and side flaps configured to clasp said cultivator shank. The removable wedge is inserted between the side flaps and the cultivator shank and holds the cultivator shank against the inner surface of the neck. The combination of the lug fitted in the hole of the cultivator shank and the removable wedge inserted in the neck makes it possible to retain and fasten the sweep to the cultivator shank. A tool disassembles the sweep of the cultivator shank.

Tool system

The present invention relates to a tool system for an agricultural ground cultivating machine having a base part which communicates, by means of a releasable connection, with a carrier element, in particular with a tine of the agricultural ground cultivating machine, wherein the base part comprises a cutter and, adjoining the cutter, at least one hard material element, and wherein the carrier element comprises, in its end region pointing in the operating direction, laterally arranged wing shares which are fitted with hard metal plates. In this case, it is provided that the edge of the wing share which is fitted with hard metal plates runs up to a lateral surface of the carrier element. The present invention additionally relates to an associated wing coulter. The tool system has reduced wear and tear and consequently extended changing intervals.

SHANK ASSEMBLY FOR AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT WITH ADJUSTABLE BIASING FORCES AND RELATED METHODS
20180317370 · 2018-11-08 · ·

In one aspect, a shank assembly for an agricultural implement may include a shank and a biasing element configured to exert a biasing force on the shank. The shank assembly may also include a reversible mounting plate defining a mounting aperture offset from a centerline of the reversible mounting plate such that a position of a second mounting location of the biasing element relative to a first mounting location of the biasing element differs depending on whether the reversible mounting plate is provided in a first orientation relative to the biasing element or a second orientation relative to the biasing element. The biasing element may exert a first biasing force on the shank when the reversible member is oriented in the first orientation and a second, different biasing force on the shank when the reversible member is oriented in the second orientation.
