SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING FIELD CHARACTERISTICS BASED ON GROUND ENGAGING TOOL LOADS
In one aspect, a system for determining field characteristics of a field across which an implement is being moved may include a tine configured to engage a surface of soil within the field. The system may also include a sensor configured to detect a parameter indicative of a load being applied to the ground engaging tine by the soil. Furthermore, the system may include a controller communicatively coupled to the sensor, with the controller being configured to determine a field characteristic of the field based on measurement signals received from the sensor.
Wear part monitoring
A process and tool for monitoring the status, health, and performance of wear parts used on earth working equipment. The process and tool allow the operator to optimize the performance of the earth working equipment. The tool has a clear line of site to the wear parts during use and may be integrated with a bucket or blade on the earth working equipment.
SOIL LOOSENING AND FURROWER ASSEMBLIES AND A BED RENOVATOR THEREFOR
There is provided soil loosening and furrower assemblies and a bed renovator therefor. The soil loosening assembly comprises a blade assembly and wherein the blade assembly is horizontally pitched such that, when drawn beneath a soil surface at a fixed depth, the horizontally pitched blade assembly severs rootstock at the level of the blade assembly while retaining the rootstock substantially in place and loosens soil above the level of the blade assembly without substantial soil inversion. The furrower assembly comprises side plates extending rearwardly from a forward prow edge, wherein the side plates are approximately 25-45 with respect to the horizontal axis; and bottom edges of the side plates are approximately 20-40 with respect to a direction-of-travel axis.
Tillage Point Having Variable Ground Engaging Structure
The present invention provides a tillage point having a ground engaging structure configured to adjust with respect to the ground so that the tillage point can flexibly adapt to various field conditions. The ground engaging structure can comprise wings for increasing soil fracture below the ground surface and/or a cover board for moving soil along the ground surface. The ground engaging structure can variably adjust using an actuator, such as a hydraulic cylinder, connected to linkage which can move the ground engaging structure through multiple angles about a pivot point during tillage operations. In addition, a controller can adjust the actuator to maintain an angle of the ground engaging structure according to a location on a prescription map.

Shank assembly for an agricultural implement with improved tillage point retention and related methods
In one aspect, a shank assembly for an agricultural implement may include a shank and a tillage point coupled to a distal end of the shank. The tillage point may include a body having first and second retention walls, with the retention walls being spaced apart such that a retention slot is defined directly between the retention walls. In addition, the first retention wall may define an inner cavity that extends from an inner surface of the first retention wall towards an opposed outer surface of the first retention wall. Moreover, the shank assembly may include a retention collar received within the inner cavity and a retention pin configured to be inserted through aligned openings of the tillage point and the shank, as well as though the retention collar, when the distal end of the shank is received within the retention slot.

Rotary harrow disks and devices
A disk blade has an outer perimeter, a first side wall, a second side wall, and a central hub. A plurality of fingers extend laterally at an angle from said first side wall. The fingers preferably comprise metal round bars curved to form part of an elliptical geometry inserted at a perpendicular angle to a vertical angle of said disk blade. The bars are arranged at locations equidistant around said disk blade and are disposed at a depth x from said outer perimeter of said disk blade. Preferably, the depth x is at least one (1) inch.
