A weeding device provides a solution to the problem of removing dandelions and other weeds from a lawn or other area. The core components of the invention are a shaft and handle arranged so that a user can remove weeds while standing, a cutting head and motor configured to cut weeds, and an herbicide injector configured to inject an herbicide into the weed. Generally speaking, the components are configured as follows: the handle is at one end of the shaft and the motor, cutting head, and herbicide injector are at a second end of the shaft. The cutting head is configured to rotate around the herbicide injector to cut portions of the weed while herbicide is injected into the weed by the herbicide injector.

Methods and apparatus have been disclosed for extracting one or more weeds from the soil. An embodiment includes a shaft including a first end and a second end, the first end of the shaft configured to be attached to a rotatable chuck. The apparatus also includes a cutter including a first face and a second face, the first face of the cutter attached to the second end of the shaft, the first face and the second face forming a regular shape including a plurality of vertices. Additionally, the apparatus includes a stabilizer including a base, the base of the stabilizer attached to the second face of the cutter, the stabilizer having a triangular cross-section.

Methods and apparatus have been disclosed for extracting one or more weeds from the soil. An embodiment includes a shaft including a first end and a second end, the first end of the shaft configured to be attached to a rotatable chuck. A weeding apparatus including a duct having a vacuum port for suctioning by vacuum at least a portion of a weed into the vacuum port. A weed pulling assembly can be positioned within the vacuum port for pulling the weed through the vacuum port in a downstream direction. The weed pulling assembly can include two opposing weed pulling driveable rotary members for clamping and rotatably pulling the weed therebetween. The two driveable rotary members can be moveable relative to each other between a spaced apart position for allowing the weed to be suctioned therebetween, and a position for contacting and rotatably pulling the weed. Each driveable rotary member can be rotatably mounted about a respective rotatable driveable axle. The driveable axles can be moveable relative to each other towards and away from each other.

A weeding apparatus including a duct having a vacuum port for suctioning by vacuum at least a portion of a weed into the vacuum port. A weed pulling assembly can be positioned within the vacuum port for pulling the weed through the vacuum port in a downstream direction. The weed pulling assembly can include two opposing weed pulling driveable rotary members for clamping and rotatably pulling the weed therebetween. The two driveable rotary members can be moveable relative to each other between a spaced apart position for allowing the weed to be suctioned therebetween, and a position for contacting and rotatably pulling the weed. Each driveable rotary member can be rotatably mounted about a respective rotatable driveable axle. The driveable axles can be moveable relative to each other towards and away from each other.
