The present invention describes a saffron collecting device (1) comprising—a sensor unit (2) arranged for identifying pistils of saffron flowers; —a pick unit (3) arranged for removal of the pistils or part thereof from the saffron flowers when the sensor unit (2) has identified the location of the pistils; and —a collector unit (4) arranged for collecting the pistils or part thereof in a collecting space (5).

A weed remover for removing weeds comprising a tube comprising a main portion and a bottom portion at a distal end which is insertable into soil to capture a core sample thereof. The tube is formed of a static portion and of a moving portion which complements the static portion to form the tube, wherein the tube comprises an inner diameter smaller at the distal end than in the main portion. At the distal end, the moving portion extends over an angular range from about 90° to about 150° and the static portion extends over a complementary angular range to form a contour. The bottom portion is formed of a succession of projections and recesses around the contour to form a cutting edge.

A plant weeding device according to the present invention includes: a housing having a coupling hole penetrating a center of the housing; a rod penetrating the coupling hole and configured to be resiliently movable and rotatable; a weeding blade coupled to one end of the rod and configured to cooperatively rotate and dig up the soil to remove weeds from plants; and a power means configured to be coupled to or separated from the other end of the rod and configured to rotate the rod.

A handheld gardening tool includes a power source, a spike projection device adapted to roughen soil for the application of grass seeds or to ease pulling weeds, and a support arm connecting the power source to the spike projection device. The spike projection device comprises a housing supporting a plurality of spikes mounted within the housing for controlled extension from and retraction within the housing for engagement with soil.

A dirt digging tool is provided which includes a handle and an asymmetrical head. The asymmetrical head include an upper end and a lower end which collectively form the tool's face. The lower end includes a ground engaging edge which includes a first convex arcuate edge which includes the tool's tip, a second convex arcuate edge, and a medial edge. The blade is insertable into the ground when the bowl is worn on the shoe. In this way the blade can urge weeds from the ground without requiring a user to bend over. A first strap is coupled to the bowl and the first strap is extendable around a heel of the shoe for retaining the bowl on the shoe. A second strap is coupled to the bowl and the second strap is extendable around the heel of the shoe. Moreover, the second strap is matable to the first strap for retaining the bowl on the toe of the shoe.
