An elevator system configured to determine and transmit an estimated elevator boarding time to a mobile call input device, wherein the boarding time includes the arrival time of the elevator car based on a registered target floor registration information and the duration of time to place the elevator car door and the hoistway door in a fully open state.

Controlling an elevator installation using a disadvantage parameter or a disability indicator
09738489 · 2017-08-22 · ·

A method of controlling an elevator installation with several elevator cages per elevator shaft, wherein a destination call to a desired destination story is actuated on a call input story by at least one passenger and at least one most favorable call allocation for transport of the passenger by the elevator cage from a start story to a destination story, is determined for the destination call by at least one destination call control. If at least one disadvantage parameter is set, at least one disadvantage-free call allocation for transport of the passenger by the elevator cage from a start story to a destination story is determined by the destination call control, in which it is possible the start story and call input story or the destination story and desired destination correspond.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A TRANSPORT SYSTEM AND CORRESPONDING TRANSPORT SYSTEM

A transport system may include at least two conveyor sections and at least three cars that are moved individually in a cyclical operation. Each car may pass through a first conveyor section starting from a first start position and subsequently pass through a second conveyor section back to the first start position. At least one stopping point may be provided at least along a conveyor section, and one or more subsequent stopping points may respectively be assigned to a block. Travel of the cars may be controlled such that the cars successively approach a respective previously-specified block, and an equal cycle time is predefined for every car to pass through the first and second conveyor sections. A method for operating a transport system in this manner is also disclosed.

SOLUTION FOR OVERSPEED MONITORING OF AN ELEVATOR CAR

The invention relates to an elevator system comprising at least two elevator cars adapted to travel in respective separate hoistways of the same building. The at least two elevator cars have at least two different rated speeds comprising lowest rated speed and a rated speed higher than the lowest rated speed. At least each said elevator car with the rated speed higher than the lowest rated speed is provided with an electronic overspeed monitoring equipment configured to stop the movement of the elevator car, if the speed of the elevator car meets an overspeed threshold. The overspeed threshold is decreasing towards at least one end terminal of the hoistway. Each of said separate hoistway of the building has a bottom end terminal space with a substantially equal height and/or a top end terminal space with a substantially equal height. The invention relates also to a process for providing an elevator hoistway arrangement comprising at least two separate elevator hoistways and to an elevator hoistway arrangement obtainable with the process.

Elevator passenger interface including images for requesting additional space allocation

An exemplary elevator destination entry system includes a passenger interface device that presents a visual representation of at least one item that will accompany a passenger on an elevator car. The passenger interface allows the passenger to select the visual representation. A controller is configured to receive indications of passenger requests for elevator service and an indication from the passenger interface device regarding a selected visual representation. The controller determines an amount of space within an elevator car required to accommodate the item based on predetermined space information corresponding to the selected visual representation. The controller assigns a car to a passenger request based on a determination that the assigned car will have adequate space to accommodate the passenger and the item.

A method for positioning a plurality of elevator cars that includes determining an occupant count for each of a plurality of locations, by determining the number of occupants exiting the plurality of elevator cars at each of the plurality of locations and the number of occupants entering the plurality of elevator cars from each of the plurality of locations. The method includes moving at least one of the plurality of elevator cars to a first location with a total occupant count that is greater than the occupant count at each respective location of the plurality of locations when the at least one of the plurality of elevator cars is in an inactive state.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPERATION OF ELEVATORS AND OTHER DEVICES

Embodiments of systems and methods for digital control of elevator and other access gateways are described herein.
