Elevator
A pressurized fluid powered cabin-management system for an elevator system with a cabin and drive system is provided. The cabin-management system is configured to direct operation of the elevator system upon arrival of one of the cabins at a floor, and comprises a floor detector configured to detect when the cabin is located at a floor and to activate a timer. The timer is configured, when triggered, to activate a timing arrangement and to pass pressurized fluid to a control valve being in a first position. The timing arrangement is configured to direct the control valve to assume a second position after a predetermined amount of time. The cabin-management system performs, when pressurized fluid is passed to the control valve in its first position, actions for opening a door, and, after the control valve has assumed its second position, actions for travel of the cabin.
Elevator system with thermal sensors
Disclosed is an elevator system having a first sensor in communication with an elevator in a multi-level hoistway, wherein during an emergency the elevator instructs the first sensor to sense conditions and transmit sensor data representing the sensed conditions, and the transmitted sensor data is processed to obtain an image representing an intensity of hazard conditions on at least a subset of levels serviced by the multilevel hoistway.
ELEVATOR COMPENSATION ASSEMBLY MONITOR
An illustrative example embodiment of an elevator compensation assembly includes a tie down mechanism and at least one compensation sheave that has an outer surface configured to engage at least one compensation rope member. At least one damper is associated with the tie down mechanism for resisting vertical movement of the tie down mechanism in at least one direction. At least one detector directly detects vertical movement of the tie down mechanism along the direction and provides an output indicating at least one characteristic of the detected vertical movement.
ELEVATOR ROPE TENSION MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
There is provided an elevator rope tension measurement system that can reduce measurement error when the tension of the rope of an elevator is quantitatively measured. An elevator rope tension measurement system includes a vibration waveform collection unit configured to collect a vibration waveform of a rope of an elevator; and a frequency calculation unit configured to select, based on a measurement resolution calculated from a collection time period and a collection cycle for collecting the vibration waveform by the vibration waveform collection unit, a method for calculating a frequency of the vibration waveform collected by the vibration waveform collection unit.
Elevator apparatus
An elevator apparatus includes: a traction machine including a sheave around which a middle portion of a main rope from which a car and counterweight are suspended is wound; a controller configured to control travel of the car; a section specification unit configured to specify a determination target section serving as a travel section, including at least a travel position of the car, satisfying a predetermined determination execution condition; a sheave rotation detector configured to detect a sheave rotation amount; and a determinator configured to determine traction performance of the sheave based on the sheave rotation amount detected during travel of the car in the determination target section. The determination execution condition is to have a load weight and an acceleration of the car that cause direction of an acceleration vector of one of a car side and a counterweight side heavier than the other to match an ascent direction.
BIOMETRIC PRE-IDENTIFICATION
A station device in a biometric pre-identification system uses identity to perform one or more actions. Identities are determined (such as via a backend) using biometric information. A biometric pre-identification device obtains biometric information and/or a digital representation thereof from a person approaching the station device. The biometric pre-identification device transmits such to the station device, facilitating the station to begin and/or perform various actions. The station device begins or performs the actions using the identity determined based on the biometric information before the person arrives at the station device.
Elevator door sensor fusion, fault detection, and service notification
A system for elevator door sensor fusion, fault detection, and service notification is provided. The system includes a processor and a memory including computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations. The operations include monitoring outputs of a plurality of sensors. It is determined whether the outputs of the plurality of sensors follow an expected pattern. Based at least in part on determining that the outputs of the plurality of sensors do not follow the expected pattern: identifying a sensor in the plurality of sensors that is not following the expected pattern, and transmitting a notification indicating that the sensor is exhibiting unexpected behaviour.
ELEVATOR IN USE FOR A CLIMATE CONTROL IN A BUILDING
A method of monitors a climate quality within a building having an elevator running between floors of an elevator hoistway. The elevator car of the elevator includes at least an air-quality sensor. The method is characterized in that a fan of the elevator car is running when the door(s) of the car is/are opening at a floor station to suck air from the building's floor level into the elevator car to the vicinity of the air-quality sensor and sensing the air-quality by the sensor preceding to generating data of the air-quality.
PEOPLE CONVEYOR ARRANGEMENT AND A METHOD FOR TESTING COMPONENTS AND/OR FUNCTIONS OF THE PEOPLE CONVEYOR
A people conveyor arrangement and a method for testing components and/or functions of the people conveyor in a people conveyor arrangement including at least one remote computing device and/or local computing device, and at least one communication channel and an application programming interface arranged between the people conveyor component and the at least one computing device. The method includes sending from the at least one computing device test related data via an application programming interface to a component of the people conveyor, receiving test related data via the application programming interface by the component when the component is connected to the communication channel, and responding from the component of the people conveyor to the local computing device and/or to the remote computing device via the application programming interface that the test related data was received and/or that a test was carried out or emulated based on the test related data.
ELEVATOR SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR TRACKING OBJECTS
An elevator system includes at least one elevator shaft along which at least one elevator car is configured to travel, a plurality of receiver devices forming a wireless mesh network, a computing unit, at least one gateway device, and one or more tag devices, each attached to an object. Each of the plurality of receiver devices is configured to: monitor advertisement signals transmitted by the one or more tag devices within an operational range of said receiver device, and provide device data associated with each detected advertisement signal to the computing unit via the wireless mesh network and the at least one gateway device. The computing unit is configured to define a location of the object based on the provided device data associated with the tag device attached to said object. A method for object tracking is also described.
