A building security system includes an emergency communications system of an elevator installation, and a building alarm system. The emergency communications system has a communications interface to couple the emergency communications system to a remote elevator service central in an emergency situation, and an emergency call panel arranged in an elevator car to allow a passenger to communicate with the remote elevator service central via the communications interface while in the elevator car during the emergency situation. The building alarm system includes a plurality of sensor units arranged at predetermined locations of the building and selected to detect predetermined building events. The building alarm system is communicatively coupled to the emergency communications system of the elevator installation for communicating the building event to the elevator service central via the emergency communications system of the elevator installation, and/or for receiving an action request from the remote elevator service central via the communications interface of the emergency communications system.

A passenger conveying system includes a passenger conveyance installation designed as an elevator, escalator or moving walkway, a main energy supply supplying the passenger conveyance installation with electrical energy, a main switch for disconnecting the passenger conveyance installation from the main energy supply, which main switch has an input side connected to the main energy supply and an output side connected to the passenger conveyance installation. The system includes a measuring device with a sensor for measuring an electrical parameter, a converter which has a direct current side and an alternating current side, an energy store electrically connected to the direct current side of the converter, a control device for controlling the converter, wherein the sensor is electrically and/or electromagnetically connected on the input side of the main switch to the main energy supply and the alternating current side of the converter is electrically connected to the main energy supply.

A method for diagnosis and/or maintenance of a transportation system that has a transportation device and a remote monitoring unit, the transportation device having a control board for controlling and/or monitoring a function of said transportation device, and a local control unit for controlling said and/or monitoring said control board, may include detecting raw data associated with the function at the control board and/or the local control unit; generating condition information and/or performance information based on the raw data and calculating statistics information based on the generated information at the local control unit; buffering the generated information and/or statistics information at the local control unit; transmitting the buffered information to the remote monitoring unit; processing the transmitted information to determine a service need condition; and selectively transmitting maintenance information associated with the service need condition to the local control unit and/or a mobile service unit.

An elevator controller detects a malfunction such as elevator blockage in an observed elevator utilizing a method including: acquiring first data during an application phase, the first data correlating with at least one condition in the observed elevator; acquiring further data during the application phase, the further data correlating with the at least one condition in other elevators; determining a current relative behavior of the observed elevator during the application phase based on a comparison of the first data with the further data; and detecting the malfunction in the observed elevator based on an analysis of the current relative behavior. The normal relative behavior information of the observed elevator, learned in a machine learning procedure during a preceding learning phase, is taken into account upon analyzing the current relative behavior of the observed elevator. The method enables automatically detecting malfunctions in an elevator while reducing a probability of false alarms.

An object of the present invention is to provide an emergency report system (1) that may detect that pressing of a phone call button (13) is continued based on a calling state retained even after pressing of the phone call button (13) is finished. The calling state is stored when the phone call button (13) of an interphone extension unit (8) is pressed inside a car (6). Storing of the calling state is retained even after pressing of the phone call button (13) is finished. Continuation of pressing of the phone call button (13) is detected by detecting storing of the calling state performed again, the storing being canceled at a time interval set in advance.

The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for monitoring an elevator door-opening operation fault. The method includes: acquiring elevator control signals from a serial interface between an elevator controller and a control box by using a preset data acquisition device, wherein the elevator control signals include an elevator operation signal, an elevator door control signal, an elevator internal call signal and an elevator floor signal; monitoring whether there is an elevator door fault in the elevator based on the elevator operation signal, the elevator door control signal and the elevator floor signal; when there is the elevator door fault in the elevator and the elevator internal call signal is in a preset level state, determining that there is the elevator door-opening operation fault in the elevator. The present invention is lower in use cost and may be easily popularized and applied.

An elevator test unit for testing the operation of an elevator system, the test unit including: a first input configured to receive a command input instructing the performance of a test operation in relation to an elevator car associated with the test unit; a first output configured, in response to receipt of the command input at the first input, to cause the generation of a first level request signal or a first simulated level request signal to be sent to a main elevator controller to cause the test operation; a second input configured to receive an indication of whether the test operation occurred successfully; and a second output configured to output a report based on the received indication.

A method for diagnosis and/or maintenance of a transportation system that has a transportation device and a remote monitoring unit, the transportation device having a control board for controlling and/or monitoring a function of said transportation device, and a local control unit for controlling said and/or monitoring said control board, may include detecting raw data associated with the function at the control board and/or the local control unit; generating condition information and/or performance information based on the raw data and calculating statistics information based on the generated information at the local control unit; buffering the generated information and/or statistics information at the local control unit; transmitting the buffered information to the remote monitoring unit; processing the transmitted information to determine a service need condition; and selectively transmitting maintenance information associated with the service need condition to the local control unit and/or a mobile service unit.

A method of operating an elevator or escalator system is provided. The method includes alerting a mechanic of a shutdown of a vehicle of the elevator or escalator system and providing data indicative of an occupancy condition of the vehicle to the mechanic so that the mechanic can execute, in any order, a verification of a no-occupancy condition, a switch of a mode of operation of the elevator or escalator system to a recovery mode and an inspection for faults. The method further includes initiating an overspeed (OS) switch reset routine in an event the mechanic confirms that an actuation of the OS switch is an exclusive cause of the shutdown and remotely triggers the OS switch reset routine accordingly.

A fault diagnosis method, a readable storage medium, an electronic device and a fault diagnosis system for interaction between an elevator system and a machine passenger. The fault diagnosis method for diagnosing a fault in the interaction between the machine passenger and the elevator system via the interaction management apparatus includes: acquiring diagnostic information from the elevator system and the interaction management apparatus; simulating an interaction process between the machine passenger and the elevator system via the interaction management apparatus based on the acquired diagnostic information; and judging a fault type of interaction between the machine passenger and the elevator system based on the simulated interaction process.
