An elevator cabin seal for an elevator is described. The elevator cabin seal includes a plate having a plate interior surface, a seal member, and a plurality of adjustment members. The seal member has a seal member interior surface and a seal member top surface contiguous with the seal member interior surface. The seal member top surface is coupled to the plate interior surface. Each adjustment member of the plurality of adjustment members is coupled to the plate interior surface and contacts the seal member interior surface to exert an adjustable force against the seal member interior surface.

Stabilizing assemblies and methods of use thereof

Embodiments here are directed to an elevator stabilizing assembly for energy dissipation of an elevator assembly is provided. The elevator stabilizing assembly includes an actuator and a stabilizing device. The actuator is configured to move between a retracted position and an extended position. The stabilizing device includes an arm and a biasing member. The biasing member is coupled to the arm and biases the arm to move the arm between a disengaged position and an engaged position. When the actuator is in the extended position, the arm is moved into the engaged position when at least a portion of the arm is in contact with the fixed member of a hoistway. When the actuator is in the retracted position, the arm is moved into the disengaged position such that the at least the portion of the arm is free from contact with the fixed member of the elevator assembly.

ELEVATOR PROPULSION DEVICE INCLUDING A POWER SUPPLY ARRANGED TO REDUCE NOISE IN THE CAB

An illustrative example embodiment of an elevator propulsion device includes at least one drive member configured to engage and climb along a vertical structure, a motor module including at least one motor configured to cause movement of the drive member and corresponding movement of an elevator cab, and a power supply including at least one energy source that is configured to provide power to the motor. The power supply is situated adjacent the motor module such that a mass of the at least one energy source provides a noise barrier to reduce transmission of noise from the motor into the elevator cab.

SELF-CLIMBING SELF-LOCKING ELEVATOR

An illustrative example embodiment of an elevator system includes a platform and a plurality of supports configured to selectively engage a nearby structure. The plurality of supports include at least a first support and a second support. The first and second supports alternate between engaging the nearby structure to support the platform while the other one of the supports is disengaged from the nearby structure. At least one of the first and second supports is configured to move relative to the platform while engaging the nearby structure to cause vertical movement of the platform.

Elevator car installation including car roof safety latch

A method of assembling an elevator car within an elevator hoistway, including installing a car frame onto the elevator hoistway, attaching a car base to the car frame, the car base forming a floor of the elevator car, setting spacers on a top surface of the car base, placing a car roof onto the spacers, the car roof including a first bracket and a second bracket, each bracket including a safety latch assembly, lifting the car roof until to a top position where each safety latch assembly engages a respective top surface of the car frame to fix the car roof to the car frame, the installing wall panels to the car base and to the car roof. As the car roof is lifted, the safety latches travel along a car frame structural vertical member and are maintained in a tensioned state by springs.

Air Cleaning and Purifying Apparatus for Elevators
20220074616 · 2022-03-10 ·

An air cleaning/purifying system for elevators includes: a housing, one or more fans, three filters, and a lamp. The housing, made of a chromium-nickel-molybdenum austenitic stainless steel, is formed of one or more walls that create an air tight enclosure, except for one or more air inlet openings proximate to each fan, and a plurality of air outlet openings. The three filters are positioned between the inlet and outlet openings, and include: an active carbon filter to absorb odors; a HEPA filter formed of a fiber mesh that traps particles; and a filter formed of a selective metallic compound (e.g., titanium dioxide) that emits hydroxyl radicals when illuminated by light from the lamp. The fan(s) is/are mounted to the housing and positioned to draw/direct air into the air tight enclosure through the inlet opening(s) and direct it at the filters, in the direction of the outlet openings.

ELEVATOR CAR WITH MOVING ELECTRICAL BOX

An elevator car includes one or more sidewalls defining an interior space for accommodating passengers; and an electrical box (25) mounted to a sidewall by a mount (30). The mount (30) is arranged to allow the electrical box (25) to vertically translate between a first position and a second position relative to the sidewall.

ELEVATOR CAR WITH BLOCKING MEMBER FOR FOLDABLE WORKING PLATFORM

An elevator car has one or more sidewalls (4a, 4b) defining an interior space (2) for accommodating passengers; a roof (3) including a support frame (8) and a working platform (12) which is suspendably connected to the support frame (8). The working platform moves between a stowed position, above the interior space, and an operational position, within the interior space. The elevator car also includes a blocking member (20, 21), located at the support frame (8), and arranged to move between an unblocking position and a blocking position. When the blocking member (20, 21) is in the blocking position, the blocking member is configured to prevent the working platform (12) from being moved into the stowed position.
