Ligature device and method of use

The present invention is an apparatus and method for ligation of livestock animals. The ligation apparatus or band provides topical active agent(s) that alleviate pain during various ligature procedures. This invention also relates to a method that includes applying a loop or band around a body part for elastomeric ligation, whereby the band material supplies a topical active agent (s) to the body part to reduce the pain of ligation.

Garment with electrocardiogram electrodes

A garment includes an outer shell, first and second electrode snaps located on an outer surface of the outer shell, first and second conductive rubber electrodes located inside the outer shell, a first conductive fabric strip connected to the first electrode snap and the first conductive rubber electrode, and a second conductive fabric strip connected to the second electrode snap and the second conductive rubber electrode.

Methods of insect control for an animal, products thereof and methods for their preparation

There is provided methods for insect control, including controlling myiasis, in animals by affixing to the animal an elastomeric band having infused or contained within an insecticide, an insect repellant, lidocaine, or any combination thereof. The insect control may be a dual-mode control and may be in respect of existing or impending open wounds, including open wounds caused by castration, tail docking, umbilical cord ligation, or dehorning of an animal. There is also provided methods for castration, docking, umbilical cord ligation, or dehorning of an animal with concurrent insect control. Also provided are elastomeric bands for insect control and methods for preparing such elastomeric bands.
