The traction means (7) is fixed from at least one of its ends to a fixing means (1) providing an essentially constant tensioning force.
SYSTEM FOR THE GENERATION OF CALL ADVANCE DATA
A system for the generation of call advance data for an elevator control, which system is going to be installed in an elevator car moving in an elevator shaft and includes at least one acceleration sensor outputting current acceleration data and/or magnetometer outputting a magnetic flux signal which includes current magnetic flux data at the current position of the elevator car, which acceleration sensor and/or magnetometer is mounted in connection with the elevator car; a velocity calculating unit which calculates from the current acceleration/magnetic flux data current car velocity data; a position calculating unit which calculates from the current acceleration/magnetic flux data and/or from the current car velocity data current car position data; and a call advance processing unit which calculates from the current car velocity data and the current car position data call advance data which designates the time until which the car is able to stop at the next approaching floor in travelling direction, which call advance data is transmitted to a call allocation unit of an elevator control. Call advance data is provided in an easy manner without using existing car position detection devices of an existing elevator to be modernized.
DEVICE FOR CONNECTING A CONTROL DEVICE OF A PASSENGER-CONVEYING SYSTEM
A device for connecting a control device of a passenger transport installation to a communication unit for transmitting data to an entity remote from the passenger transport installation includes at least one detection unit detecting a first physical variable of the control device. The device further includes an evaluation unit generating a first electrical signal on the basis of the first physical variable detected. The device also includes a first interface connecting the device to the communication unit. The first electrical signal is transmitted to the communication unit via the first interface. The detection unit detects at least one of an electrical resistance, an electrical voltage, a visual state an acoustic signal of the control device as the first physical variable.
Deployment of a controller in an elevator
A method for deploying a controller to an elevator system includes generating a request to at least one other controller for obtaining at least one parameter relating to a deployment of the controller to the elevator system, receiving a response, and in response to detection that the at least one parameter in the response comprises a set of operational parameters, initiating a configuration procedure, and in response to detection that the at least one parameter in the response does not comprise the set of operational parameters, deriving an identifier of the elevator system included as the at least one parameter in the response and generating a request including the identifier of the elevator system for obtaining the set of operational parameters. An elevator system is configured to perform the method.
PEOPLE CONVEYOR SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR UPDATING SOFTWARE OF A PEOPLE CONVEYOR COMPONENT IN A PEOPLE CONVEYOR SYSTEM
A people conveyor system and a method for software update of a people conveyor component in a people conveyor system, such as an elevator system, an escalator system and/or a moving walkway system. The conveyor system comprises a plurality of conveyor components, each said conveyor component comprising a memory and a processor running an application software, an updating means for updating conveyor component software, the updating means being communicatively connected to the conveyor components, wherein the updating means comprises or is connected to a processor and a memory, and at least one communication channel, arranged between the updating means and a remote update system. In the method the updating means downloads a software update from the remote update system via the at least one communication channel based on request from the remote update system and/or based on the request from at least one conveyor component and/or the people conveyor system, and wherein the software download from the remote update system to the updating means and/or from the updating means to the conveyor component is performed as a background download and/or without affecting the operation of the people conveyor.
METHOD OF CONFIGURING AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM
A method of configuring an elevator system (1), includes positioning a wireless communication device (4, 4′) on or within an elevator car (2). When the elevator car (2) is in the vicinity of a landing floor (8a) of the elevator system (1), the wireless communication device (4, 4′) transmits data comprising a unique identification code, or part thereof (26, 44) to a landing fixture (10a, 12a, 14a, 16a, 18a) on the landing floor (8a). The landing fixture (10a, 12a, 14a, 16a, 18a) receives the data. The method further includes, based on the received data, the landing fixture (10a, 12a, 14a, 16a, 18a) storing the unique identification code (44).
Method and device for detecting a deterioration state in a suspension member arrangement for an elevator based on AC voltage measurements with suspension members being electrically short-circuited at their distal ends
A method for detecting a deterioration state in an elevator suspension member including electrically conductive cords uses a multiplexing unit (MU) to apply first and second alternating voltages to proximal ends of first and second groups of the cords respectively and connect the proximal end of a third group of the cords to a voltage measurement arrangement connected to a reference potential. Distal ends of the groups are connected together. A first neutral point voltage between the third proximal end and the reference potential is determined. The MU is switched to apply the first alternating voltage to the second proximal end, apply the second alternating voltage to the third proximal end and determine a second neutral point voltage between the first proximal end and the reference potential. The deterioration state of the suspension member arrangement is determined based on the first and second neutral point voltages.
