Passenger conveyor

A passenger conveyor has a guardrail belt configured to run on a pair of right and left handrails in synchronization with footsteps; a camera provided at a platform of the handrail; and a control device configured to analyze an image obtained by photographing the platform with the camera, detect a passenger getting in from the platform, stop the footsteps or lower a running speed than a normal speed when detecting no passenger for a predetermined time, and move the running speed of the footsteps at the normal speed when detecting the passenger.

Overspeed and reverse drive preventing device for escalator

The present invention relates to an overspeed and reverse drive preventing device for an escalator. The device has a pawl and a connection part mounted to be connected by a tension spring such that, when the pawl is inserted into gears of the ratchet and is compressed by a ratchet, the tension spring is extended and the pawl is perfectly inserted into the ratchet, thereby making it possible to apply the same to escalators having various specifications. A braking member is mounted on the inner peripheral surface of a brake arm mounted outside a ratchet part or a rotary shaft, or on the outer peripheral surface of the device facing the brake arm. Therefore, the overspeed and reverse drive preventing device can apply additional braking power to the escalator rotary shaft to prevent a damage of a brake lining mounted on the ratchet part, prevent overspeed or reverse rotation of the escalator even though the brake lining is damage so as not to show the braking power, and reduce installation expenses and period of time and prevent deterioration in durability caused by perforation work since there is no need to perform perforation work to the escalator rotary shaft and the escalator support frame.

Step chain for escalators, and person conveyor device having a step chain of this type

A step chain for driving steps of an escalator may include link plates, chain pins, chain bushes, and buffer rollers that are connected to one another to form chain links, which can be moved in relation to one another. The step chain may also include running rollers disposed outside the chain links. The buffer rollers may each be designed in the form of a multi-component part that comprises at least one inner, dimensionally stable sliding component, by way of which the buffer rollers can be arranged in a rotatable manner, respectively, on the chain bushes, and an outer, damping component that is designed to be more elastically deformable than the sliding component. The step chain may be utilized in a person-conveyor device, such as an escalator or a moving walkway, for example.
