PASSENGER CONVEYANCE SYSTEM
A passenger conveyance system (2, 102, 202) is provided which includes a first component (12, 112, 212) arranged to rotate about a first rotation axis A.sub.1 and a second component (16, 116, 216) arranged to rotate about a second rotation axis A.sub.2; at least one magnet (20,120, 220); and at least one sensor (24, 124, 224). Either the at least one sensor (24, 124, 224) or the at least one magnet (20, 120, 220) is fixed to the first component (12, 112, 212). The sensor (24, 124, 224) is arranged to measure a displacement to the at least one magnet (12, 112, 212), and the system (2, 102, 202) is arranged to use the measured displacement to determine information indicative of the alignment of the first and second components (12, 112, 212; 16, 116, 216).
Passenger conveyor
The invention relates to a passenger conveyor, such as an escalator or autowalk, comprising a band of conveying elements; a diverting wheel for diverting the passage of the band of conveying elements and/or a traction member thereof and a brake for braking rotation of the diverting wheel. The brake comprises a screw member having a conical threaded external rim; a nut member having a conical threaded internal rim, the screw member and nut member being screwed together, one of said screw member and nut member being connected with the diverting wheel for being driven by the diverting wheel. The brake further comprises a stopping device for stopping rotation of the other of said screw member and nut member.

A conveyance element 2 for a belt-driven people conveyor is provided which comprises a first belt connection structure 12 arranged to connect a drive belt 108 to the conveyance element 2, and a second belt connection structure 14 arranged to connect the drive belt 108 to the conveyance element 2. The first and second belt connection structures 12, 14 are arranged such that, when connected, the drive belt 108 passes adjacent to and between the first and second belt connection structures 12, 14.
RAIL CLEANING DEVICE FOR PASSENGER CONVEYOR
A rail cleaning device for a passenger conveyor includes: a main body; a cleaning body; and a fastening band. The main body has a through hole. The through hole is arranged so that lower ends of link plates are located at an intermediate position of the through hole in a height direction of the main body when the cleaning body is held in abutment against an upper surface of a drive rail. The fastening band has a ring shape passing through an inside of the through hole and over outer sides of the link plates and extending to an upper side of the main body. The fastening band is tightened so as to press the cleaning body onto the drive rail by bringing an upper end of the main body close to the lower ends of the link plates, thereby fastening the main body to the link plates.
