Collapsible Guardrail
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods involving collapsible guardrails. An example system includes a top rail, a mid rail, an enclosure, and at least two posts. Each post includes an upper primary member, a lower primary member, an upper secondary member, and a lower secondary member. The upper primary member and the lower primary member are slidably coupled to at least one slot in the mid rail. The upper secondary member is rotatably coupled to the upper primary member and the lower secondary member is rotatably coupled to the lower primary member. The upper primary member is further coupled to the top rail and the lower primary member is coupled to the enclosure.
PASSENGER CONVEYOR SYSTEM
A passenger conveyor system has a conveyor belt with a longitudinal extension in the conveying direction and a balustrade on at least one side of the conveyor belt. At least sections of the balustrade extend laterally adjacent the conveyor belt. The balustrade has at least two balustrade sections. At least one opening for entering and leaving the conveyor belt is located between two successive balustrade sections of the balustrade laterally adjacent the conveyor belt.

A plate conveyor includes a conveyor belt that is formed of interconnected segments which are guided on tracks, and a handrail which is guided on a handrail guide. The conveyor belt has a longitudinal extent, and the handrail runs, at least in sections, in the direction of the longitudinal extent along the conveyor belt. The handrail guide has at least one length compensation element. A length (L) of the compensation element, measured in the direction of the longitudinal extent, is adjustable between a maximum length (Lmax) and a minimum length (Lmin).

The disclosure relates to a passenger transport system in the form of an escalator or a moving walkway. The system can include a stationary access region, a transport belt made up of a plurality of tread units, a transition region in which combing structures of the transport belt adjoin static comb structures of the access region, and an illuminating device having at least one light source for emitting light in the visible spectrum. The illuminating device can be configured such that at least a first portion of the light emitted is focused to predominantly illuminate an elongate transition surface which includes the transition region.

The lighting holder is held inside the lighting box by being pressed against the pair of side surface portions by elastically deforming the elastically deforming portion.

The at least one shaft support portion (54) is supported by at least one shaft bearing (57) to be rotatable around a shaft axis (A). The shaft (50) is configured for engaging with an endless tread drive tension member (15). The shaft (50) has a split shaft configuration in which the shaft main portion (52) is detachably coupled to the at least one shaft support portion (54).
