The present application relates to a control system and a method for controlling a passenger conveying apparatus, and a computer-readable storage medium for implementing the method. A control apparatus for a passenger conveying apparatus according to an aspect of the present application comprises: a processor; a memory coupled with the processor; a communication module coupled with the processor; and a computer program stored on the memory and running on the processor, the running of the computer program causes: in response to an internal control command of the control apparatus or an external control command outside the control apparatus, determining whether there is a passenger boarding signal in the passenger conveying apparatus within a specified time interval, wherein the internal control command and the external control command comprise commands for starting or stopping the passenger conveying apparatus; and manipulating the passenger conveying apparatus based on the determining.
A METHOD TO PREDICT A DETERIORATION IN A PASSENGER MOVING SYSTEM
A method of predicting deterioration in a component part of a passenger moving system includes, activating at least one sensor in communication with the component part, performing data acquisition to acquire data from the at least one sensor, processing the data, repeating the processing step over a first specified time period, and triggering a command signal to initiate a maintenance operation and generating a predictive alert, both in response to the processed data reaching a pre-determined threshold.
PEOPLE CONVEYOR ARRANGEMENT AND A METHOD FOR TESTING COMPONENTS AND/OR FUNCTIONS OF THE PEOPLE CONVEYOR
A people conveyor arrangement and a method for testing components and/or functions of the people conveyor in a people conveyor arrangement including at least one remote computing device and/or local computing device, and at least one communication channel and an application programming interface arranged between the people conveyor component and the at least one computing device. The method includes sending from the at least one computing device test related data via an application programming interface to a component of the people conveyor, receiving test related data via the application programming interface by the component when the component is connected to the communication channel, and responding from the component of the people conveyor to the local computing device and/or to the remote computing device via the application programming interface that the test related data was received and/or that a test was carried out or emulated based on the test related data.
Weighting sensor data with environmental data in a system for transportation of passengers
A method for determining a state of a system for transportation of passengers includes the steps of: receiving condition data of the system, the condition data being generated by a condition sensor adapted for sensing physical conditions of an equipment of the system; receiving environmental data of the system, the environmental data containing information on an influence of an environment of the system on the equipment and/or the condition sensor; weighting the condition data with the environmental data; and determining a state of the equipment based on the weighted condition data.
Method and device for generating a 3D model of a bearing structure of an escalator or a moving walkway
A method and a device are described for measuring structural components of a bearing structure of an escalator or moving walkway without specialized personnel having to carry out precise measurements in situ. The method comprises fixing an image recording device on a conveying means of the escalator, removing at least one of the tread units of the escalator in order to enable visual access to structural components beneath it; moving the conveying means together with the image recording device at least over partial areas of a travel path, recording images of the structural components to be measured with the image recording device, and generating a 3D model of at least a partial area of the structural components of the bearing structure based on the recorded images. Using the 3D model experts can then measure dimensions and spatial arrangements of structural components without having to be in person at the actual location.
Side monitoring device for a passenger transport system
A side monitoring device for a passenger transport system is described. The device monitors a force application upon a base plate of the passenger transport system along a gap formed between a transport band of the passenger transport system and the base plate. The device includes a mounting structure, at least one elongate belt, and a force sensor. The mounting structure is configured for the installation of the device in a base plate region of the passenger transport system adjacent to a transport region. A belt is functionally connected to the mounting structure and extends parallel to at least a portion of the traveling path. The force sensor is functionally connected to the belt and configured for detecting a force exerted upon the mounting structure by the belt in a direction of displacement extending parallel to the traveling path.
ELEVATOR AND ESCALATOR CONTROL NETWORK MANAGEMENT
A user interface shows status of network elements in an infrastructure network. The network elements are used to provide a communication channel for elevators, escalators and similar. In addition to network elements status of peripheral devices and other elevator and escalator related network connected devices may be shown. The user interface showing the status of network elements and other devices provides the maintenance person an easy way of spotting possible sources of problems.
Diagnostic system
According to one embodiment, a diagnostic system includes a conveyor device first and second sensors and a diagnostic device. The conveyor device includes an endless chain having a plurality of rollers coupled at regular pitches and each fit into a bush, to circularly move between a first sprocket and a second sprocket. The first and second sensors diagonally are disposed apart from each other on a moving path of the chain, irrespective of an operating direction of the conveyor device, to detect a passage of each of the rollers of the chain. The diagnostic device measures an amount of elongation of the chain based on a first detection signal output from the first sensor and a second detection signal output from the second sensor according to movement of the chain during operation of the conveyor device.
Arrangement of a monitoring sensor in an escalator or in a moving walkway
An escalator or a moving walkway has two access regions, each with a comb plate, and a conveying region arranged between the access regions. The conveying region extends between the two comb plates of the access regions. At least one projection projects into the conveying region at at least one stationary part of the escalator or moving walkway. At least one monitoring sensor is arranged at least partly in the at least one projection.
