PASSENGER TRANSPORT SYSTEM WITH DISINFECTION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME
A passenger transport system and a method of operating the same are described. The passenger transport system includes a passenger conveying device, a control unit for controlling an operation of the passenger conveying device, and a disinfecting device for disinfecting a surface to be disinfected on the passenger conveying device. The disinfecting device includes a controller for controlling an operation of the disinfecting device. The control unit of the passenger transport system and the controller of the disinfection device are adapted in such a manner that status signals, which reflect information about a current operation, a current state, and/or a current configuration of the disinfection device, are sent from the controller to the control unit, and the control unit generates control signals taking into account received status signals and transmits them to the controller, wherein the controller controls the operation of the disinfection device taking into account received control signals.
Automatic fault clearing for elevators, escalators and automatic doors
A device and a method for controlling an apparatus being an elevator, an escalator or automatic doors are provided, by which it is detected whether a fault is present in the apparatus, it is determined, when the fault is present, whether an automatic fault clearing may be carried out, and if it is determined that the automatic fault clearing may be carried out, the automatic fault clearing is performed by automatically clearing one or more faults.
DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM
According to one embodiment, a diagnostic system includes a conveyor device first and second sensors and a diagnostic device. The conveyor device includes an endless chain having a plurality of rollers coupled at regular pitches and each fit into a bush, to circularly move between a first sprocket and a second sprocket. The first and second sensors diagonally are disposed apart from each other on a moving path of the chain, irrespective of an operating direction of the conveyor device, to detect a passage of each of the rollers of the chain. The diagnostic device measures an amount of elongation of the chain based on a first detection signal output from the first sensor and a second detection signal output from the second sensor according to movement of the chain during operation of the conveyor device.
SIDE MONITORING DEVICE FOR A PASSENGER TRANSPORT SYSTEM
A side monitoring device for a passenger transport system is described. The device monitors a force application upon a base plate of the passenger transport system along a gap formed between a transport band of the passenger transport system and the base plate. The device includes a mounting structure, at least one elongate belt, and a force sensor. The mounting structure is configured for the installation of the device in a base plate region of the passenger transport system adjacent to a transport region. A belt is functionally connected to the mounting structure and extends parallel to at least a portion of the traveling path. The force sensor is functionally connected to the belt and configured for detecting a force exerted upon the mounting structure by the belt in a direction of displacement extending parallel to the traveling path.
Method of renewing passenger conveyor
There is provided a method of renewing a passenger conveyor that is capable of preventing the passenger conveyor from being unavailable for a long time period when the passenger conveyor is renewed in a stepped manner. The method of renewing a passenger conveyor includes a safety device update process of updating an existing safety device to a new safety device in the passenger conveyor, and a drive machine and control panel update process of, after the safety device update process, updating an existing drive machine of the passenger conveyor to a new drive machine and updating an existing control panel of the passenger conveyor to a new control panel.
Passenger conveyance system
A passenger conveyance system (2, 102, 202) is provided which includes a first component (12, 112, 212) arranged to rotate about a first rotation axis A.sub.1 and a second component (16, 116, 216) arranged to rotate about a second rotation axis A.sub.2; at least one magnet (20,120, 220); and at least one sensor (24, 124, 224). Either the at least one sensor (24, 124, 224) or the at least one magnet (20, 120, 220) is fixed to the first component (12, 112, 212). The sensor (24, 124, 224) is arranged to measure a displacement to the at least one magnet (12, 112, 212), and the system (2, 102, 202) is arranged to use the measured displacement to determine information indicative of the alignment of the first and second components (12, 112, 212; 16, 116, 216).
METHOD FOR DETECTING LOSS OR UNDERVOLTAGE CONDITION OF PHASE OF ELECTRIC CONVERTER UNIT, CONVEYOR CONTROL UNIT, AND CONVEYOR SYSTEM
A method for detecting a loss or an undervoltage condition of phase of an electric converter unit, wherein the method comprises: determining an extremum value, such as a maximum and/or a minimum value, of a phase voltage of the electric converter unit for at least one fundamental period of the phase voltage, and comparing the extremum value to a first threshold value, and if, based on the comparison, a first threshold criterion related to the first threshold value is satisfied, then determining the loss or the undervoltage condition of phase.
METHOD FOR RAISING AN ALERT IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF A PLATFORM LIFT

MEASUREMENT ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD OF MONITORING ROTATION SPEED OF A COMPONENT OF AN ELEVATOR, ESCALATOR, MOVING WALKWAY OR MOVING RAMP
The measurement arrangement for measuring the rotation speed of a component of an elevator, escalator, moving walkway or moving ramp comprises an inductive sensor that is arranged stationary in respect of a rotation axis of the component and adjacent to the component or a measurement part that is attached to the component in a rotationally fixed manner, and the component or the measurement part is configured as rotationally unsymmetrical about the rotation axis so that different angular positions of the component about the rotation axis generate different output signals in the inductive sensor.
Drive belt montoring for passenger conveyors
A drive belt monitoring system for a passenger conveyor (10) is provided having a drive belt (30) having at least one cord (36) extending longitudinally within the drive belt (30). The monitoring system (50) includes: a first sensor (52) configured to measure the pretension of the drive belt (30); a second sensor (54) configured to determine a passenger load on the drive belt (30); a third sensor (56) configured to determine the resonance frequency of the drive belt (30); and a controller (60) configured to evaluate a condition of the drive belt (30) based on: the measured pretension of the drive belt (30), the determined passenger load of the drive belt (30), and the determined resonance frequency of the drive belt (30).
