Device for collecting and culturing fish embryos and method for evaluating combined toxicity of thiamethoxam and tetraconazole
A device and a method are disclosed for collecting and culturing fish embryos and evaluating combined toxicity of thiamethoxam and tetraconazole. An embryo collection component and an embryo culture component are provided on a base plate. The embryo collection component includes a collection tray detachably connected to a bottom of a culture tube. The embryo culture component includes a cavity plate with a stopper inside and a top plate provided with a culture well. A bottom of the culture well is provided with a leakage hole; and after the top plate is installed into the cavity plate, the stopper occludes the leakage hole. The new device is used to carry out the combined toxicity effect test of thiamethoxam and tetraconazole on zebrafish embryos, which can be used to avoid development of pesticide mixtures that have a good preventive effect but pose increased toxicity risk to the ecological environment.

Subaxillary traction device to address shoulder dystocia during childbirth
A subaxillary traction device having an elongated body portion with a first end and a second end, at least one receptacle member disposed on the first end defining a cavity to receive a fingertip, a handle opening disposed adjacent or near the first end and a handle opening disposed adjacent or near the second end, the handle openings being of sufficient size to receive at least one finger there through, whereby the body portion is positionable under the posterior axilla of a fetus experiencing shoulder dystocia such that traction may be applied allowing delivery of the posterior arm affecting the safe delivery of the baby.
Advanced cervical ripening system
Traditional and existing methods of cervical ripening employ a Foley Bulb designed for and typically used in bladder procedures. Consequently, the application to the cervix is sub-optimal. The described device resolves this and related limitations. The device includes a balloon that has been designed to accommodate the cervix geometry, and which can adapt to normal differences in the individual. Further improvements are attained by the use of a supporting device which couples the cervix ripening device to the individual.
VETERINARY SAW ASSEMBLY
A veterinary saw assembly having a tool coupler for coupling to an external power tool and a drive coupler for driving a cutting string from the power tool. The cutting string can be an abrasive wire. The power tool can be a drill. The saw assembly can be used for dehorning or foetotomy procedures. Also disclosed are saws that include the saw assembly, cutting strings for use with the saw assembly, methods of stringing the saw assembly with a cutting string, and a kit including the cutting string and instructions for its use.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE TREATMENT AND PREVENTION OF FEMALE PELVIC DYSFUNCTION
Systems for the treatment and prevention of pelvic dysfunction are provided. In one embodiment, a vaginal dilation device includes a handle portion and a shaft portion. The shaft portion is configured to expand from a collapsed configuration to an expanded configuration. The shaft portion can comprise a distal tip region, a spine region, and a distal arm region connecting the distal tip region to the spine region. The spine region can extend distally from the handle portion to the distal arm region, and can be generally tubular in shape. The distal arm region can be generally conical in shape and be configured to provide a gradual increase in diameter from the distal tip region to the spine region. Methods of use are also provided.
Labor management methods for decreasing the duration of second stage labor
The present disclosure provides methods for decreasing the duration of second stage labor by managing the labor process. In one aspect, a tactile feedback device is positioned adjacent the perianal tissues. A mother's labor is monitored for the progression of the baby along the birth canal and adjustments are performed in response to the progression of labor to promote a vaginal childbirth. A perianal support device includes a perianal support member having a pressure surface configured for engagement with tissue adjacent an anal orifice and a pressure detecting system associated with the perianal support member to detect pressure indicative of pressure on the perianal tissue of a patient.
General uterine manipulator and system
A medical instrument configured to be inserted into a body cavity comprises a body comprises a first probe at a first end, the first probe comprising a first cylindrical portion with a first outer circumferential surface of a first diameter; a first circumferential edge at a distal end of the first probe; a first distal lip projecting outwardly from the first outer circumferential surface beyond the first circumferential edge and extending for at least a part of a circumference of the first circumferential edge; and a first marker lip projecting outwardly from the first outer circumferential surface and extending for at least a part of a circumference of the first outer circumferential surface; wherein the first distal lip is positioned distal to the first marker lip; and wherein the body comprises a hollow cavity to enable a second medical instrument to pass therethrough.
Implants, tools, and methods for treatment of pelvic conditions
An adjusting and cutting tool including a distal end engageable with an elongate portion of an implantable article to facilitate manipulation of the elongate portion relative to a support portion of the implantable article and to facilitate cutting of the elongate portion. Also included is method of treating vaginal prolapse, the method including the steps of providing a multi-piece implantable article having at least one extension portion piece and a support portion piece, placing the support portion piece in contact with vaginal tissue, placing at least one extension portion piece in contact with tissue of a component of sacral anatomy, adjusting a position of the at least one extension portion piece relative to the support portion piece using a adjusting and cutting tool, and cutting the at least one extension portion with the adjusting and cutting tool.
Adjustable medical devices and methods for manipulating bodily tissues
A medical device includes an elongate member having a first end portion and a second end portion, an extension member movably coupled to the first end portion of the elongate member and an actuation member disposed on the second end portion of the elongate member and operatively coupled to the extension member to move the extension member from a first position with respect to the first end portion of the elongate member to a second position with respect to the elongate member.
