SAFETY INSPECTION SYSTEM FOR OCCUPANT EVACUATION ELEVATOR, AND METHOD THEREOF
A safety inspection system of an occupant evacuation elevator capable of having a laser range finder installed on each of an elevator rope and an elevator guide rail of the occupant evacuation elevator of a skyscraper and checking a length and verticality of each of the elevator rope and the elevator guide rail measured from the laser range finder to monitor slight distortion or location variation in real time, and accordingly, capable of easily performing a safety inspection of the occupant evacuation elevator, capable of performing the safety inspection of the occupant evacuation elevator in real time to operate the occupant evacuation elevator again in an operation mode of the occupant evacuation elevator according to an occurrence of a disaster situation in the skyscraper, and accordingly, capable of safely and quickly evacuating occupants and a method thereof are provided.
ELEVATOR NETWORK FOR EMERGENCY OPERATION
An emergency operation controller for an elevator is connected to other emergency operation controllers of their respective elevators through network, and each controller constitutes a node in the network. The controller generates and transmits an emergency condition detection message to other controllers in the network which constitute adjacent nodes to the controller when the controller detects an emergency condition, and receives an emergency condition detection message from other controllers which constitute adjacent nodes to the controller in the network when other controllers detect an emergency condition. The emergency condition detection message includes a propagation count. The propagation count is configured to be decremented by one, each time one controller transmits the emergency condition detection message to other controllers which constitute next adjacent nodes. The emergency condition detection message is continuously transmitted until the propagation count reaches to zero.
UNINTERRUPTED RESCUE OPERATION
A method of operating an elevator system including: controlling, using a controller, a plurality of components of the elevator system, controlling includes operating at least one of an internal power source, an elevator car, a drive unit, a power conversion device, and a brake; detecting when an external power source is unavailable; deactivating the power conversion device when external power source is unavailable; determining at least one of a motoring mode and a near balance mode; connecting to an internal power source when at least one of the motoring mode and the near balance mode is determined; activating the power conversion device when at least one of the motoring mode and the near balance mode is determined; and increasing, using the internal power source, voltage of the drive unit, the internal power source is configured to provide an uninterrupted power to drive unit when the external power source is unavailable.
METHOD FOR ENSURING ELEVATOR SAFETY IN ELEVATOR SYSTEM, ELEVATOR CONTROL UNIT, ELEVATOR SYSTEM, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT
A method for ensuring elevator safety in an elevator system, an elevator control unit, an elevator system, and a computer program product are disclosed in this document. The method comprises detecting a foreign object in an elevator shaft during normal operation mode, establishing a safe zone of the elevator shaft, wherein the safe zone is associated with a safe zone speed, a safe distance, and a safe direction, switching operational mode of the elevator system to a safe zone mode, determining that the elevator car is in the safe zone, and allowing movement of the elevator car in the safe zone to the safe direction at a speed not exceeding the safe zone speed.
Elevator system configured to allocate one or more elevators to a passenger group and method of performing same
A method for allocating elevators including reading, via one or more reading devices, identification data from one or more access cards associated with passengers until a desired termination condition is fulfilled; forming a passenger group based on the identification data such that the passenger group is formed only if the reading reads the identification data associated with two or more of the passengers, the passenger group containing the passengers therein; registering one or more destination calls to the passenger group, the one or more destination calls having at least one or more destination floors associated therewith; and allocating one or more of a plurality of elevators to the passenger group to transport the passengers belonging to the passenger group from a departure floor to the one or more destination floors.
METHOD FOR USING AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM AND ELEVATOR SYSTEM
The invention relates to a method for using an elevator system in a building having several vertically spaced floors served by an elevator system, particularly by one or more vertically traveling elevator cars of an elevator system, said floors comprising at least a first floor, a second floor, and a plurality of intermediate floors positioned vertically between the first and second floor, the elevator system being configured to have several modes, including at least a normal operating mode and an evacuation operating mode, in which normal operating mode a car of the elevator system is used to serve a first set of floors, and in which evacuation operating mode said elevator car is used to serve a second set of floors different from said first set of floors; the method comprising evacuating passengers from the first floor to the second floor, the evacuating comprising changing the mode of the elevator system from the normal operating mode to the evacuation operating mode; and determining the second set of floors to include the first floor and an intermediate stop floor from amongst the plurality of intermediate floors or a subset thereof; and transporting a load of passengers from the first floor with said elevator car without intermediate stops to said intermediate stop floor; and repeating one or more times said transporting a load of passengers from the first floor; and after one or more of said transporting, transporting passengers from said intermediate stop floor with an elevator car to the second floor. The invention relates also to an elevator system implementing the method.
Elevator system configured to decentralize allocation of hall calls
A method for allocating elevators in an elevator system, the elevator system including a group control system responsive to hall calls received from call input devices, and elevator-specific elevator controllers configured to control elevators based on commands issued by the group control system, wherein the method including generating a number of route alternatives based on calls active; calculating, by the elevator controllers, elevator-specific cost terms associated with the route alternatives; transmitting, by the elevator controllers, the cost terms to the group control system; and allocating, by the group control system, the hall calls to the elevators according to the route alternative giving the lowest allocation cost.
CONTROL OF A BUILDING SYSTEM
A method for controlling a building system is provided, the method, per-formed by a control system, comprises: determining a presence of a mobile robot in an operational vicinity area of the building system; and setting the building system to a robot mode in response to the determining the presence of the mobile robot in the operational vicinity area of the building system. Also a control system, a computer program, and a system are provided to.
ELEVATOR CALL ALLOCATION
According to an aspect, there is provided a method for elevator call allocation in an elevator group comprising a plurality of elevator cars. The method comprises detecting a logistic operation associated with an elevator car, the elevator car being stationary at a floor, and limiting allocation of new elevator calls to the elevator car in the elevator group in response to detecting the logistic operation.
